Globe garners top honors
in global CSR awards
Globe Telecom won accolades during the 2nd Global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Awards held in Singapore last June 30. The award is one of the most prestigious awards recognizing the CSR efforts of companies in Asia and the rest of the world. Organized by The Pinnacle Group International, the Global CSR Awards recognizes and honors companies for outstanding, innovative and world class products, services, and programs implemented in 2009-2010 as part of their broad corporate and CSR strategy.
Globe grabbed a Gold award for the for Best Work Place Practices category for its disaster response initiative for spearheading and mobilizing its employees and resources to provide immediate aid in the aftermath of several typhoons that hit the country last year. The company also bagged a Bronze award for the Best Environmental Excellence Award for its Globe Goes Green program, an environmental sustainability campaign that aims to create a heightened environmental awareness through various internal and external activities.
Globe runs its multi-awarded CSR initiatives through Globe Bridging Communities or Globe BridgeCom.
