In response to the robust growth of the automotive industry during the first six months of 2010, Carryboy Philippines, Inc. is officially launching the Carryboy Caravan Mobile Home, the first trailer vehicle in the local market.
The first Carryboy Caravan Mobile Home in the Philippines was showcased at the 3rd Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) from August 19 to 22 at the World Trade Center.
"The Caravan Mobile Home is another first by Carryboy Philippines. We customized the unit for the Philippine market, with quality, style, and comfort in mind," said Jun Ylagan III, Carryboy Philippines, Inc. president and chief executive.
Carryboy Philippines Inc. is the exclusive local distributor of world-class Carryboy accessories and parts for pick-up trucks and sport utility vehicles (SUVs), among others.
Launched in Thailand early this year, the Carryboy Caravan Mobile Home is a trailer that can be towed by an SUV or pick-up truck with a 2.5-liter engine.
The body is made of premium fiberglass sheet with a gel-coat finish that acts as a heat insulator.
"The fiberglass technology of the Caravan Mobile Home only allows 30% of heat from outside to penetrate, so it’s perfect for our tropical climate.
And because it is made of highly durable materials, the unit can also withstand heavy rains," Ylagan said.
The rustproof and lightweight Carryboy Caravan Mobile Home can accommodate up to six passengers.
It is furnished with a double-deck bed, toilet, and convertible couch, all fabricated in Europe.
The unit also comes with a RV 12V refrigerator, and an entertainment system that includes a 20-inch LCD television, DVD player, and top-of-the-line speakers.
The unit has two power sources: an electrical system or its own portable generator. While stationary, the unit can be plugged to an electrical system, requiring approximately 3,200 kilowatts per hour.
The generator can supply power for up to three hours using 4.6 liters of unleaded gasoline.
The Carryboy Caravan Mobile Home is also equipped with advanced safety features. For example, an innovative mechanism controls the push and pull of the trailer when driving uphill or downhill.
This ensures the well-being of passengers in the vehicle towing the unit as well as other motorists, according to Ylagan.
The Carryboy Caravan Mobile Home is available at the Carryboy Philippines main showroom at 270 D. Tuazon St. near cor. Del Monte Ave., Quezon City.
