MALOU Santos, managing director of Star Cinema, happily informed us that "Sa ‘Yo Lamang," the 17th anniversary offering of the film company, was graded "A" by the Films Rating Board.
"Sa ‘Yo Lamang" opened in 120 theaters last Wednesday, September 1. Directed by Laurice Guillen, it has in its cast Lorna Tolentino, Christopher de Leon, Diether Ocampo, Coco Martin, Zanjoe Marudo, Shaina Magdayao, Enchong Dee and Bea Alonzo, among others.
"This movie excites me," said Malou, "Sa conceptualization pa lamang, we all know we have a good movie. A movie which I am sure the moviegoers will appreciate.
"Tungkol kasi ito sa family. And you know how unique the Filipino family is. And how important to all of us our family is.
"We were careful, likewise, in choosing the stars ng movie. Ang tagal na when Lorna and Boyet were seen together sa isang pelikula.
"Talagang wala silang kupas, especially as a love team."
Shaina said she has no qualms at all in her love scenes with Coco Martin in "Sa Yo Lamang."
"I know I was in good hands," she said, "Isa pa, pinakamabait na actor na puwede mong makatrabaho si Coco. Kaya even if this is a major first experience for me – doing a love scene on screen – I had no second thoughts."
How was it?
"It’s for the public to judge," she replied. "Basta ako, I did my best at feeling ko, si Coco, ganun din."
How does she think John Lloyd Cruz, her boyfriend, would react to her love scenes with Coco?
"Artista rin si John Lloyd," Shaina answered, "Kaya alam niyang what I do on screen ay hanggang doon lang.
"Besides, kilala niya si Coco."

Yes, Richard finally admitted that he and Jewel were once sweethearts.
In any case, Richard’s current apple of the eye, we heard, is Solenn Heusaff, one of the castaways in the new season of "Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Showdown," which Richard is now hosting.
"Survivor Philippines" used to be hosted by Paolo Bediones, now a TV5 contract star.
Incidentally, Solenn is the sister of Erwan Heusaff, the current boyfriend of Anne Curtis, who, at one time, was the apple of the eye of Richard.
Solenn was once linked to Derek Ramsay, now the boyfriend of Kapamilya contract star, Angelica Panganiban.
Well, we heard that Solenn will soon join the acting world.
While Mariel Rodriguez’ friends had hoped that she would get someone her age (or a few years older) for a boyfriend after her breakup with Zanjoe Marudo, they are the first to admit that she has never looked happier.
That Mariel must have found her true love in Robin Padilla, who is definitely much older than her, is a given.
"Kasi kitang kita naman ang ebidensya na mahal siya ni Robin at labis labis ang pagpapahalaga nito sa kanya," said a dear, dear friend of Mariel. "They must find each other a challenge. Sana, sana their relationship lasts."
Mariel has said that Robin has already discussed marriage.
"But she also said na marami pang inaasikasong ilang bagay si Robin na may kinalaman sa kanyang pamilya, which Mariel happily said she understands," our source added.
The same informant told us that Robin and Mariel are out of town, this time with his daughters Queenie and Kylie.
Of his youngest, son Ali, Robin has decided to entrust the child to his ex-wife, Liezl Sicangco.
