New ‘Starstruck’, new Raymond
PREPARE to see a new Raymond Gutierrez in "Starstruck V."
The twin of heartthrob Richard Gutierrez might just have his own surprise as he is planning to shed a few pounds in the coming weeks.
"I want to look like the Raymond during, ah, ‘Starstruck 3’," he says with a laugh. "Kidding aside, I really looked like a young boy back then. Natatawa ako."
Raymond says he has found a trainer and plans to take up boxing near his place in The Fort to lose ten or so pounds.
"It’s hard for me to stick to one diet, like the South Beach, which I once tried, because I’m often out of the house," he explains, adding that he watches what he eats now.
Raymond is joined by Carla Abellana and Dennis Trillo in the fifth season of the artista search. Dennis and Carla host the live Sunday episodes, while Raymond takes over all Saturday shows together with four "Starstruck" alumni – Mark Herras, LJ Reyes, Arci Munoz and Paolo Avelino – who rotate as segment hosts.
For fourteen weeks, "Starstruck V" hopefuls will try to outdo each other in four major performance categories: singing, dancing, acting and imaging under the scrutiny of the Starstruck Coucil composed of Floy Quintos, Iza Calzado and Lolit Solis.
"Starstruck V" airs every Saturday after "Pinoy Records" and "Sunday" after "Kap’s Amazing Stories" with "Shout Out: The Starstruck Dailies" airing 15 minutes Monday to Friday before "Family Feud" starting Monday, Nov. 23 on GMA.
