FAITH academy hosts job fair

First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH) in cooperation with JobsDB hosted the First Asia Institute Career Quest 2008 at the First Asia Institute campus. This is the firsr job fair FAITH hosted under its Office of Career and Placement Services (OCPS). The event is part of the celebration of this year’s college fair.

As part of the event, JobsDB conducted the career enhancement seminar for the graduating college students. Victor Acordon, marketing officer from JobsDB discussed Career 101: The Basics of Job Hunting. The talk included tips on how to prepare a killer resume and how to have a successful interview. The following companies participated in the fair: e-telecare Global Solutions, JetBest Multi-Lines Corp., AsiaPro Cooperative, CEPOL Services, Mary Mediatrix Medical Center, Vision Plus Staffing and Consulting Services Co., Bangko Kabayan Inc., Sitel, First Sumiden Circuits,Inc., Orchard Property Marketing Corp., People Support (Phils.) Inc., Uni-President (Phils.) Corp., Advanced Contact Solutions, Inc., Teletech, Shopping Center Management Corp. (SM Supermalls), Toshiba Information Equipment Phils. Inc., Diwa Learning Systems Inc., SPI Technologies, Radix Systems Services Corp., Nozomi Fortune Services Inc.,and First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities. Some companies gave initial interviews and on-site examinations for the graduating students and other applicants during the event.

JobsDB also distributed career cards to all the registered participants. It stores a jobseeker’s resume in an electronic database and enables users to apply in its organized job fairs without having to bring multiple copies of resume.

FAITH is now part of JobsDB’s Campus Network where partner educational institutions and JobsDB work hand in hand to provide fresh graduates and alumni, assistance to explore different career opportunities.
