Two beauty queens and
one ‘Fit & Fab’ show

Beauty queens Teresa Licaros and Maggie Wilson surely make being fit and fab seem easy. But the truth is, these head-turners work on it and yes, they confess, worry about some aspects of being fit and fabulous, just like every other woman.

"We have the same genuine concerns of women in our age group or at least adjacent to that age," Teresa Licaros, the statuesque former beauty queen and current law student confesses. "We have the same qualms about our body; we want to also fix our own imperfections."

And this actually makes these beauty titlists, Maggie and Teresa, perfect for Q-11’s newest public affairs program "Fit & Fab" – a health and wellness magazine program for women. From the latest physical activities and fashion trends as well as beauty treatments, and a guide to healthy recipes, women can rely on "Fit & Fab" to nourish them with fresh and useful information on how to be the best they can be inside and out.

"‘Fit & Fab’" show women that it is possible," says program manager Karen Lumbo. "It is achievable to be fit, to be healthy and to be fabulous at the same time. Being fabulous in ‘Fit & Fab’ is about showing women something better, showing them what else they can do with their personalities, individualities, their lives, basically. Anything and everything: it’s a holistic package."

The holistic approach certainly appeals to Maggie and Teresa. "Being fit and fab is all about being healthy. It’s about having a healthy outlook in life, as much as having a healthy body," adds Maggie, a stunning Filipino-British beauty who is also an actress, VJ, and model all at the same time.

With segments like "Let’s Get Physical," "Bring Out Your Fab Side," and "Fit to Eat," "Fit & Fab" seeks to have its viewers step out of their comfort zones to achieve something better. "We hope the show empowers women. If they see something new that seems life-enriching and that they want to try it, they should just go for it. Actually, that’s what we do in the show," shares Teresa.

A good example is the program’s "Let’s Get Physical" segment where both Maggie and Teresa will be shown trying out various physical activities. "We’re very hands on," Teresa laughs. "We’re going to try out everything that we’re really, really curious about."

Catch the pilot airing of "Fit & Fab" tonight, April 16 at 10, only on Q-11.
