 'Eat Bulaga' airs LA
fiesta this Saturday


"Eat Bulaga!" local viewers are in for another fantastic surprise this Saturday, August 2, when its much-talked about and heralded "Grand Fiesta Show" recently staged at Los Angeles Sports Arena in California airs on GMA 7.

Close to 7,000 people, mostly Filipinos based in California and nearby states trooped to the venue to witness the once-in-a-lifetime extravaganza topbilled by the famous comic trio of Tito, Vic and Joey.

With the TVJ were the "Eat Bulaga" dabarkads led by Francis Magalona, Anjo Yllana, Jimmy Santos, Ruby Rodriguez, Pauleen Luna, Julia Clarete, Pia Guanio, Lougee Basabas, Wally Bayola, Jose Manalo and Allan K.

The rousing opening number of the show was memorable to the crowd with Francis doing his hit song "Man From Manila" followed by Ruby, Pauleen and Pia gyrating onstage with their dance number and segued to Anjo and Jimmy's rap portion.

Lougee displayed her vocal prowess while Julia's magic tricks amazed the audience. Wally and Jose brought the house down with their hilarious acts as Arwanee and Wangbu. Ditto with Allan K.

Tito, Vic and Joey capped the number with their VST & Co. hit song "Swing It, Baby" that got the people to sing and dance!

The non-stop entertainment, music and laughter continued with the holding of the show's famous segments, "Itaktak Mo O Itatakbo" that gave away thousands of US dollars to the contestants and the "Kontra Pelo: Sa Pula Sa Puti" which was participated in by US-based Pinoy artists led by Patricia Javier, Jessica Rodriguez, Dessa, Jo Awayan, Ella V. of Viva Hot Babes and former Ms. Body Language, Frida Fonda.

The crowd went crazy when engaged couple Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo appeared on stage complete with hugs and kisses.

The non-stop excitement continued when screen lovers Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera of "Dyesebel" performed their respective acts and danced the Joey de Leon's signature dance and song, "Kagat Labi"!

Capping the show was the announcement of Senator Leland Lee, Assistant President Pro Tempore of California, declaring the date, July 19 as "Eat Bulaga" Day in the state. Tito, Vic and Joey gladly accepted the certificate.

All these and more, plus the dabarkads' escapade in California and Las Vegas, will be presented this Saturday on "Eat Bulaga" as the show's gift to their followers on its 29th year as the longest-running noontime show on television!
