NBC Universal Global Network-owned Asia channels, Sci Fi, Universal and Hallmark, secured a total of 32 nominations in the upcoming 60th Primetime Emmy Awards, underscoring the list of quality entertainment available on the channels.

As a whole, NBC Universal has earned a total 88 Primetime Emmy nominations across their entertainment properties- entertainment networks, television production studio, and news organization. In the US, Sci Fi earned nine nominations for "Tin Man" and five for "Battlestar Galactica." The US-version of the Universal Channel, USA, earned great recognition for "Monk." In addition, NBC News received 16 nominations and NBC’s "Sunday Night Football" won three Sports Emmys in May.

"We are pleased with the numerous awards earned by our channels’ key program lineup. As a network, NBC Universal has garnered a tremendous showing in this year’s Emmy Awards, which reinforces our lead in television programming from entertainment and news to sports." said Karen Johnston, director of programming, NBC Universal Global Networks Asia Pacific.
