CWC holds August
Moon Dream Ball

The Catholic Women’s Club headed by its president Tessie Rodrigo will hold an August Moon Dream Ball on Friday, August 31 at the Manila Polo Club. The ball which is being held to celebrate the CWC 86th anniversary will raise funds for its 90 beneficiaries, among them the Elsie Gaches Village and the Gawad Kalinga housing project in San Andres Buid.

Nonie Basilio is chair of the event with Karen Macasaet and Baby Bayani Ortiz as co-chairs. The heads of the different working committees are: Karen Macasaet and Baby Ortiz for ad and sponsorship solicitations; Lydia Reyes and Baby de Jesus, ticket distribution; Mimi Valerio and Carrie Bautista, physical arrangements; Baby Antonio and Tess Castro, special dance presentation; Mabel Abaño and Tessie Briones, publicity; Lulu Castañeda and Nikki Valerio, souvenir program; Nenuca Blardony and Nena Casimiro, usherettes; and Kim Lokin and RJ Borromeo, emcees.

Well known choreographer Budjing Danao and his assistant Dalah Pia have prepared waltz and tango dance numbers which will showcase the terpsichorean talents of the CWC members. Nonoy Lopez and his band will provide the dance music.

Chair Nonie Buencamino is optimistic that with the relentless efforts of the members of the working committee, the August Moon Dream Ball will be able to raise enough funds to support its many charities. She appeals to colleagues and friends to support the event so as to flesh out the club’s motto of extending loving service to the poor.
