Therapeutic hairbrushes

Copper, a reddish-brown metal, is known for its many uses including as a good conductor of electricity and heat. It also treats dandruff. Before you sneeze at this fact, hair doctors at Goody found out that small doses of copper actually stops the itching, flaking, and static in hair.

Aside from its healing properties, copper was found to kill 88 percent of bacteria and fungi that cause dandruff. With these findings, Goody came out with its own prescription for beautiful, healthy hair through a special line called Goody Styling Therapy infused with therapeutic ingredients. This collection literally brushes off common hair woes like dandruff, split ends and dull, dry hair due to hair colorants in just a few strokes.

Can’t wait to see the results that your dandruff shampoo promises? The Reduce Dandruff Copper line offers an easy way to fight back the flakes that’s as natural as combing your hair. The secret is in the copper-infused bristles which reduce excessive oil while it sweeps off dandruff away from hair. Ball-tipped bristles embedded on the cushion pad gently massage the scalp. Brushes come in styler, paddle and oval models that are great for styling and detangling as they are in treating nasty "snowflakes."

Jojoba oil, an odorless and colorless liquid wax produced from the seeds of jojoba shrubs, appears mostly in cosmetics and hair care products. This is also the same oil found in the Goody Add Shine Jojoba Oil collection of brushes. What jojoba oil does is it acts like human sebum (which is chemically very similar to jojoba), nourishing the hair and sealing in moisture to control further hair damage as a result of too much styling and washing. These Vitamin E-rich brushes smoothen out cuticles, tame flyaways, hydrate hair and bring back the luster in dull hair with every stroke.

Color-treated hair looks fabulous at first. Unfortunately, frustrations arise as the color fades out over time – but not if Goody can help it. Goody understands that not all of us can spare time to visit the salon thus it created a special line of brushes called Protect Color Questamide. The latter is an ingredient similar to the natural scalp oil ceramide which locks in the color and moisture in hair by closing the cuticles.

Each hair brush is ergonomically designed to address hair frustrations: boar bristles evenly distribute natural oils so hair is moisturized while nylon ball tips massage the scalp. Available in three shades for brunettes, redheads and blondes, these brushes are the perfect finishing touch to your colored locks.

The Goody Styling Therapy collection is available in department stores nationwide.
