Airline takes delivery of new aircraft

Philippine Airlines took delivery of second bi-class next generation Bombardier Q400 which it will be use to expand domestic network. 

PAL expects  the accept delivery of 10 more Next Gen Q400 from Canadian based- aircraft manufacturer Bombardier within 2017 up to 2019. 

The 86-seater plane, to be utilized for select intra-domestic routes, is the newest member of the PAL family. It brings to 83 the total number of planes on the airline’s fleet.

By yearend, PAL will utilize the propeller-driven Q400 and Q300 on seven domestic routes out of Clark and 12 out of Cebu.

PAL flies its fleet of turboprops to – Basco, Busuanga, Naga, Calbayog, Catarman, Surigao, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Caticlan, Tacloban, Legazpi, Iloilo, Bacolod, and soon to Zamboanga and Jolo.

Fleet modernization, together with flight route network expansion and service innovation, is a priority area of the PAL Group as the airline aims to achieve five star ratings and be the airline of choice in all markets it serves.
