Premiere seeks partners for tourism venture

Premiere Horizon Alliance is searching for partners for a  planned tourism venture in Palawan.

The company in a statement said it has  invited key strategic regional partners in taking a stake of up to 20 percent in West Palawan Premiere (WPP), currently a 100 percent subsidiary, at a valuation of P800 million covering its current Palawan landholdings.

WPP is a master-planned mountain and beach side lifestyle community in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

Premier Horizon said that with the target completion of the Puerto Princesa International Airport by March 2017 and the increasing cruise ship arrivals that has grown at an average compound growth rate of 141 percent over the last five years, the city is poised to become a prime tourist haven in Palawan.

“Puerto Princesa City remains the main tourism draw in the province of Palawan, with a total of 818,961 visitors in 2015, 70 percent of which are domestic tourists. Apart from Manila, WPP is targeting to entice tourists from Cebu and other key areas in the Philippines,” it said.
