RWM takes Filipino cuisine up a notch

AS the Philippines’ first integrated entertainment and tourism destination, Resorts World Manila (RWM) works tirelessly to bring out the best in Filipino culture.

This month, food lovers can head over to Silogue, RWM’s signature all-day Pinoy comfort dining outlet, and taste two Filipino fiesta favorites in haute cuisine form.

The Hearty Kansi is a richer, more sumptuous take on the popular Ilonggo Bulalo. Made with young jackfruit and banana blossoms in a tangy tamarind broth, the fork-tender beef shank is made more scrumptious by a sinfully rich bone marrow center. 

In true Filipino fashion, Silogue’s Hearty Kansi is served with rice and is good for sharing.

The Ginataang Chicken Adobo by actress and professional chef Donita Rose, meanwhile, lets diners share in another way. As part of RWM’s LOVE Dish 2017 project, proceeds of each order of this succulent dish go to Right Start Foundation which provides creative and caring spaces for at-risk and disadvantaged children.

With adobo being the quintessential Filipino dish, Donita has put a gourmet spin on a well-loved classic. A savory and juicy grilled chicken quarter rests on a bed of cauliflower and squash mashed with coconut milk and is surrounded by roasted seasonal vegetables which give it an aromatic sweetness.  The Ginataang Chicken Adobo is served with one cup of rice and is a unique way to share goodness with others.
