A word from PhilHealth
(For Rey O. Arcilla)

We would like to clarify the statement earlier attributed to our President and CEO, Alexander A. Padilla in your column item entitled “Enough Already” which came out in your newspaper on July 07, 2015.

The column item stated that the P500M was paid to 10 doctors for health insurance benefit claims last year.

Allow us to clarify that the amount was paid to 10 health care facilities, and not to doctors.

It is important that this correction is made in the soonest time possible, to ensure that the correct information is relayed to the reading public. Thank you. – ISRAEL FRANCIS A. PARGAS. M.D., OIC-Vice President, Corporate Affairs Group
