Daiichi bags Aspac award for best office development

Daiichi Properties Inc. recently bagged the Five-Star Best Office Development Philippines award at the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2015 held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Daiichi won for the World Plaza, a 27-storey Grade-A office building located in Bonifacio Global City and designed by renowned design and architectural firm Gensler.

The Asia Pacific Property Awards recognizes the finest of property, architecture and interior design in the world. It is the regional arm of the International Property Awards, considered one of the most prestigious in the global property arena.

The Asia Pacific Property Awards 2015 received hundreds of entries from the Asia Pacific region. These entries were assessed by a judging committee composed of over 70 global property experts and chaired by three members of the UK’s House of Lords.

The highest-scoring winners from the Asia Pacific region will  compete later this year against the other winners from Europe, Africa, Canada, the United States, Central and South America, the Caribbean and Arabia to find the “World’s Best” in each category.

The World Plaza is located on 5th avenue,  minutes from the future home of the Philippines Stock Exchange, Shangri-La BGC, and Bonifacio High Street.

The design of World Plaza utilizes a double-glazed fully unitized curtain wall and insulated high-performance glass that maximizes natural lighting for a more sustainable and healthy work environment.

The building engaged MKA and Sy^2 to implement a performance-based evaluation, with special emphasis on the effects of earthquakes and wind.

Daiichi Properties has acquired, designed, and developed commercial and industrial real estate properties in the Philippines since 1992.

The company is  a developer of Grade A high-rise office towers. Other development projects include the One World Place, the winner of the same Best Office Development award in the 2013 Asia Pacific Property Awards; One Global Place; and The Taipan Place and The Orient Square in the Ortigas Business District. Aside from World Plaza in the development pipeline, The Finance Centre will also rise in 2017.

Daiichi Properties is also known for its high-rise condominium project in Bonifacio Global City, The Regent Parkway, offering “Five-Star Living.”

Daiichi Properties officials Charmaine Uy, senior vice president, and Eric Manuel, vice president for Business Development received the award at ceremonies held in Malaysia.

“Our mission is to provide world-class projects to our tenants and investors by partnering with international architectural design firms and engineering consultants,” said Manuel after the ceremonies.

Daiichi Properties has partnered with global design leader Gensler in many of its projects, including the award-winning World Plaza, One World Place, and The Finance Centre.

“We push the boundaries of quality by bringing global best practices to the local market,” Manuel added.

Manuel also noted Daiichi’s pursuit of green technology in their projects.

“Our commitment to the environment and to sustainability is firmly established in our corporate culture. We use innovative designs and technology to ensure we minimize energy use and waste for the benefit of all our stakeholders and to the communities where we operate,” he said.
