FOUR-TIME World Cup champion Paeng Nepomuceno has earned
another international accolade, having been included by the Bowlers Journal
International to its list of top 100 coaches, the only Asian to be included in
the elite list.
The Bowlers Journal International, America’s oldest, most
influential and most prestigious bowling publication, has bestowed "this
prestigious honor…upon coaches whose successes have deeply influenced and
changed the coaching world. They are the innovators and masters and they have
earned every right to bowling’s equivalent of academic freedom."
Back in 2003, the Journnal also named Paeng as "the Greatest
International Bowler of all time."
"I’m proud of this and I’d like to share it with everyone.
My countrymen and all those who support me inspire me to always do my best,"
said Nepomunceno, who won his World Cup titles in three different decades (70s,
80s and 90s).
He has been named by FIQ, bowling’s world governing body, as
an International Bowling Ambassador and coach whenever his schedule allows him.
In all, Nepomuceno has won 118 career titles.
