Merry Marri

Marri Nallos, "The Crystal Voice of Asia," is beaming with pride as her powerful rendition of an Air Supply song, "Making Love Out of Nothing at All," is hitting the airwaves after becoming the theme song of a recently-concluded GMA 7 telenovela titled "My Husband’s Woman."

Said Marri, "I have mixed emotions. I’m happy that my version of the song is hitting the top hit chart again and sad that pirated copies of my album can be bought anywhere."

To recall, Marri’s songs are now the top favorites for theme songs of telenovelas. "My latest album, ‘Dahil Mahal Kita’ was produced to target the telenovela theme songs and we are glad we are hitting our objective," she said."

The following songs also became the theme song of popular telenovelas like "Mahal Naman Kita" of "Rosy Life" on GMA 7 and "Sorry My Love" of Q11. "Dahil Mahal Kita," an OPM carrier single of the latest album, became the theme song of "My Way" of Q11. Another OPM by Edna Dy, "Ikaw Pa Rin ang Mamahalin," became a theme song, too. Even her revival of "Out Here on My Own" became the theme song of one episode in "Dear Friend" of GMA 7.

Marri, who just arrived from an Asian tour together with Bobby Kimball of Toto and Bruce Conte of Tower of Power, will be having a show on December 21 at Bluewave in Macapagal Avenue. Guests are famous showbiz personality Juan Rodrigo and Szfariva dancers. Front act is Christan, a student of conservatory of music in UST. Marri will be at SM Muntinlupa on December 28. Wowie Taylor of Star FM hosts both shows.

"Marri Nallos, Dahil Mahal Kita" is distributed by Sony-BMG Records.
