ReBirth Spa facilitates breastfeeding

milk formula is lacking in the antibodies, nutrients and protective components of breastmilk, exposing the artificial milk-fed baby to eight times more to the possibility of hospitalization compared to a breastfed infant. This is why breastfeeding is encouraged through lactation massage.

The ReBirth Spa now specializes in servicing pregnant women especially new mothers through pre-natal massage to alleviate backaches and pains and perform lactation massage to induce post natal milk production. It was conceived by obstetrician-gynecologist Dr. Rebecca B. Singson to support pregnant and breastfeeding women in the country.

Lea Salonga, a breastfeeding advocate shares the spa’s vision. She cut the ribbon at the blessing of the renovated salon at the Asian Hospital and Medical Center’s lobby at Civic Drive, Alabang, Muntinglupa City.

The spa also extends its services to patients and health care workers as well as for those watching over the sick, family or friends. It offers various services from scalp massages to foot spas and haircuts or pedicures to elevate the level of wellness while in the hospital. De-stressing services are offered from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
