AS part of the channel’s continuous
undertaking to give to its viewers a line up of locally
produced world’s best shows, Q-11 further fortifies its roster
of public affairs programs via its new shows airing this
February: "The Beat," "Reunions," and "Hired."
Hosted by Ivan Mayrina and Miriam Quiambao,
together with Tonipet Gaba and Valerie Tan, "The Beat" is all
set to spice up Monday late nights with a dose of the latest
news and stories that matter to the Filipino lifestyle. The
show premiered yesterday, February 4 at 10 p.m.
Covering a wide variety of topics for its
viewers, "The Beat" is a fast-paced, one-hour program with a
number of segments that are packed with tons of useful
information presented in a more interesting and entertaining
fashion. "Hindi siya straight news. We’ll feature
things that we don’t normally see in the newscast," says Ivan.
Through its unique segments, viewers will
be updated with the latest trends in fashion, the coolest
gadgets, the hippest places to see and be seen, and the best
dining experiences.
Bannered by no less than multi-awarded and
most respected broadcast journalist in the country, Jessica
Soho, "Reunions" aims to bring back the joy in the lives of
Filipinos in search of their missing loved ones. Considered as
the first of its kind in local television, the show tirelessly
coordinates with local government units including shelters to
end the search of the missing, and hopefully end in happy
reunions.
"We realized through ‘Reunions’ that it’s
not impossible to locate a missing person, at least, in the
Philippines. We learned that there are agencies that give
temporary shelters to vagrants and drifters but there wasn’t
anyone helping them reunite the stowaways with their
families," she shares. "Reunions" airs starting tonight
(February 5) at 10.
Aspiring for a dream job? Q-11 is very much
willing to help via "Hired." Hosted by the tandem of Paolo
Abrera and Mariz Umali, "Hired" is the only reality show in
the country that features dream job opportunities for its
viewers.
"Not only are we going to help aspirants
land in their dream jobs, the program will also become a
medium for companies to find deserving employees as well as
advertise their names," says Mariz.
Airing Sunday, February 10 at 8 p.m., "Hired" will also
offer practical and useful tips on job hunting. "We’ll also
share tips for job hunters on how to make themselves more
marketable to potential employers and show them specific
skills that they must develop for a particular field that they
may be interested in," adds Paolo.
