Bad Boy, Pacman, and Booba
lend star power to worthy causes

DESPITE their hectic schedules, action star Robin Padilla, boxing champ Manny Pacquiao, and sexy actress Rufa Mae Quinto recently finished working together on a TV ad campaign that's close to their hearts.

Known for their mass appeal, the three celebrities are all in support of making life better for the common people in the same way that with Talk 'N Text mobile service, it's really "gumagaan ang buhay" because of its easy on the budget offers: Gaan Text, Gaan Talk, Gaan Load, and Gaan Sim P30. "Mas masaya 'pag magaan ang buhay," they all agreed.

Robin, unknown to many, has been helping his Muslim brethren. Last year, he opened a free preschool he built for Muslim children in Quezon City called Liwanag ng Kapayapaan Foundation. An anti-malaria advocate since 2004, the "Bad Boy of Philippine Movies" is also the spokesperson of the Department of Health's Movement Against Malaria (MAM). He has also offered monetary support to the Muay Association of the Philippines and a Muslim cemetery in Norzagaray, Bulacan.

In his quiet, unassuming way, Robin has been making life a lot lighter for a lot of people, lending his star power to worthy causes that are close to his heart.

Robin is currently filming "Joaquin Bordado," a GMA television series about a man with tattoos that come alive. The action-drama-fantasy-thriller is based on the graphic novel by Carlo J. Caparas. In the pipeline is a much-awaited re-teaming with "mega star" Sharon Cuneta in a dramedy under GMA Films.

With his rags-to-riches story, Pacman has inspired young people who have found motivation to strive for a better life.

Pacquiao is now preparing for his second face-off with Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico. Their first encounter in May 2004 ended in a draw. The "Pambansang Kamao" is busy training at Freddie Roach's Wild Card Boxing Gym in Hollywood, California. The big day for the Pacquiao-Marquez II match is on March 15 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

For voluptuous comedian Rufa Mae, the original Booba, it's her string of TV shows that's keeping her busy. She is presently seen in "SOP Rules," "Showbiz Central," and "Bubble Gang." She also lends her voice to Fifi in "Marimar." She was last seen on the big screen in "Desperadas" which made a killing in the box office during the recent Metro Manila Film Festival run.

Her funny antics and popular expressions such as "Ok, fine," "Totoo na," and "To the highest level" never fail to elicit laughter.

On the side, she also sees to her two businesses - the Rufa Mae's Trips and Tours travel agency and the unisex beauty salon called "Booba's Salon."

Robin, Pacman, and Rufa Mae, three personalities who make life magaan for us Filipinos are truly perfect endorsers for masang Talk 'N Text.
