WHEN the world is in extreme chaos, the
devil works at its worst to bring death to humans in the most
bizarre circumstances. Experience terrifying scenario in the
film version of Stephen king’s best selling novel about the
creatures from hell that evolved on earth without warning from
heaven. Titled "The Mist," it reunites the master of horror
with three-time Oscar nominee Frank Darabont ("The Green
Mile," "The Shawshank Redemption") described by King as a
filmmaker who still has a child’s imagination.
The story starts after a vicious storm
wreaks havoc in a town in Maine. Artist David Drayton heads
out to the supermarket for some much-needed supplies with his
young son, Billy, and his neighbor, Norton, in tow. Their trip
soon turns to terror when a menacing white mist settles in,
leaving this group of locals and out-of-towners trapped in a
supermarket and fighting for survival against unknown,
bloodthirsty monsters. As the town comes under attack from
creatures prowling in a thick and unnatural mist, rumors point
to an experiment called "The Arrowhead Project" conducted at a
nearby-top-secret military base.
But when religious zealot Ms. Carmody
begins to convince the group that the mist is a punishment
from God, Drayton and his cohorts realize that they may be
trapped inside with an enemy as dangerous as whatever is
lurking outside. In the end, Drayton and the survivors must
face-off against each other before taking a united stand
against horrifying creatures from hell!
Filmed with state-of-the-art special
effects, "The Mist" stars Thomas Jane, Marcia Gay Harden,
Laurie Holden, Andre Braugher, and Toby Jones.
