‘This is just too much. My rage is beyond words.’

Make a stand today

Officers who are detained in Camp Crame led by Brig. Gen. Danilo Lim and Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV are sending their greetings to those who are making a stand against the immoral Arroyo administration in today’s "communal action" in Makati.

Joining them in their message are Capt. Gary Alejano, Capt. Segundino Orfiano, Lt. (s.g.) Manuel G. Cabochan, Lt. (s.g.) Eugene Gonzales, Lt. (s.g.) James Layug, Lt. (s.g.) Andy Torrato, Lt. Arturo Pascua Jr., First Lt. Billy Pascua, Lt. Jonnell Sangalang, and Ensign Armand Pontejos.

They said even if they cannot be physically with the people today, "we are with you in spirit and sentiments."

As they said in their earlier statement, the $329 million NBN/ZTE deal is just the latest of the "the series of condemnable acts of the GMA administration" uncovered.

They said it is now the time to make a decision and to make a stand. It is now the time to act and choose a new leader.

They called on the people to continue the fight for truth and justice.

Their statement in full:

Grabe na’to!

Many of those who are participating in my blog will be in the rally today and their sentiments are captured by this entry by Skip:

"For the first time in a long while, I have been rendered speechless by events unfolding in the newspapers.

"For the first time in a long while, my thoughts have failed to congeal into words and have instead kept floating aimlessly in some dark and inaccessible nether region in my mind.

"For the first time in a long long while, my literary faculties have been momentarily immobilized by a silent, unnamed rage.

"This is just too much. My rage is beyond words.

"This government has completely lost all sense of fairness and decency. All of it. Not an iota of honor left.

"Those among us who keep saying that we should let Gloria stay because no one can replace her – look what this line of reasoning has wrought for the country. Because you believe no Filipino is better than Gloria – the Philippines is sinking deeper and deeper in the morass of corruption and immorality.

"I am able to write again because the anticipation of finally being able to physically release my rage is reawakening my numbed soul.

"I will be in the Ayala rally today. There under the February skies I will let my flesh, bones, sinews, heart, lungs, and vocal chords let Gloria Arroyo know that I will not take her stealing and murdering and lying sitting down.

"I will let her know that while she has succeeded in corrupting even erstwhile honorable men like Joker Arroyo, she has not succeeded in corrupting all Filipinos. I will let her know that while her government has all the guns, goons and gold, she has not a shred of legitimacy in her.

"I will let her know that while she can trundle out all government officials to weave a tangled web of lies, she has no power to stop Jun Lozada’s plain and unadorned truth.

"I will let her know that while she and her minions are stealing BILLIONS of pesos directly from our pockets, millions of Filipinos are wallowing in filth and poverty.

"I will let her know her know that those who truly love the Philippines are waking up and are starting to reclaim this long-suffering country from her clutches. I will let her know that her day of reckoning has finally come.

"Friends, the time for staying in the sidelines has passed. The time for ’wait and see’ is over. ‘Minding your own business’ is so retro – Jun Lozada’s bravery is the new black.

"This government is robbing us blind and is prepared to kill you and me just to cover it up. Now, more than ever, the country needs our warm bodies to get it through Gloria’s dark night.

"The time for decisive action has come."
