Sherilyn goes for natural
remedy in treating cough

THERE are some things that moms just wouldn’t tolerate like seeing their kids sick and develop complications from the chemical cough formulations that they take.

This is why Sherilyn Reyes – actress, TV host, and mom to two healthy boys – only trusts natural remedies when it comes to treating their children’s cough problems.

"Ever since we did an episode in ‘Moms’ about natural medicine, I have become more aware of their importance and effectiveness in dealing with different kinds of ailments," says the mother of Paoie and Quirsten.

One natural remedy that Sherilyn puts her 100% trust on is ASCOF Lagundi.

"It was recommended by our pediatrician so I know that it’s effective and safe. I also learned that lagundi is one of the natural medicines endorsed by the Department of Health. So you have health authorities and doctors reassuring you," she explains.

Pascual Laboratories’ ASCOF Lagundi Cough Syrup contains the extract of lagundi leaves, which has been clinically proven to effectively treat cough. It comes in syrup (ponkan and menthol flavors) and in tablet forms.

"Even my husband and I take ASCOF Lagundi," Sherilyn says.

Like most moms, she says that she is very particular when it comes to her children’s health.

"It’s very hard to see them sick. It’s a good thing that I have a very flexible schedule so I could attend to them," she says.

Sherilyn likewise shares that she is very particular with her children’s diet and health regimen.

"They eat mostly chicken and fish and we go biking or swimming everyday," she says.

When not busy with work, Sherilyn finds time to take them to go wakeboarding at Lago de Oro or horseback riding at the family farm in Tagaytay.

Bonding time with the kids for Sherilyn also means late-night pizzas while watching DVDs or enjoying ice cream in bed.

"I try to balance out the healthy with the fun," she says.
