Philippine-China cultural celebrations


The music and colors of China take center stage in Concert at the Park on February 24 for the 7th Annual Philippines-China Traditional Cultural Festival, with featured guests, the China Overseas Association in the promotion of welfare of the Overseas Chinese Dance troupe from the Fujian Province, the Philippine Ling Nam Athletic Federation Lion Dance and the special participation of the Lakandula High School Dance troupe and the Arellano High School Rondalla. The presentation is also in celebration for the preparation for the Beijing Olympics, with "One World, One Dream" as its theme.

This Sunday’s presentation is in partnership with the Federation of Filipino Chinese Association of the Philippines, Inc. Federico A. Edos is the executive in charge of the concert project and Gie V. Arnold writes the script.

The yearly event encourages the active participation of students of the public and Chinese schools in the country in the promotion of Chinese culture and traditions.
