Tips for Panagbenga
festival first-time visitors

Baguio, the city of flowers will celebrate anew the Panagbenga festival.

Panagbenga is Kankanaey for "a season of blossoming, a time for flowering" and it is an annual month-long festival.

If you're a first-timer at the Panagbenga flower fest, here are some tips:

. Embrace the culture. Read as much as you can about the region so you will have a better appreciation of the activities that will take place.

. Know the schedule of activities so you can plan your trip.

. There is going to be a huge crowd out there so take care of your valuables..

. Plant yourself in a good spot. It's good to know the route of the parade - Session Road and Burnham are the major parade points so try to be there early. Another option is to stay in a hotel along Session Road so you can watch the celebrations in comfort, but make sure to book ahead.

. Keep in mind that you will be doing a lot of walking and standing during the parade, so wear comfortable clothes and shoes.

. Don't litter!

. Have a good plan for meet-ups. The cellular phone network could get temporarily clogged because of the crowd buildup so make sure to have a backup plan in case you lose each other in the throng.

. Thousands of local and foreign tourists will be there so expect parking to be difficult. Better yet, travel worry-free in a Victory Liner bus! Panagbenga newbies, remember to get your Victory Liner tickets at least three weeks before your scheduled trip so you can avoid the long lines at the terminal before the Panagbenga parade (most buses would be fully booked a week prior to the parade).

And when you reach Baguio , buy your return tickets at once to avoid the horde of travelers going back to Manila .

This year, let Victory Liner take you to the Panagbenga festival safely and comfortably. The bus company is acknowledged by travelers and industry experts as the best and most trusted bus travel network in Luzon, and it remains part of many Baguio visitors' fond vacation memories. Passengers going to Baguio can choose to ride the standard buses, or the deluxe bus that guarantees modern travel convenience with its ultra-comfortable seats and onboard rest room.
