Unexpected move from La Greta

THE EVER unpredictable Gretchen Barretto does what everybody least expects from her. This February, La Greta opens new doors as she launches her first ever album titled "Unexpected."

True to form, nobody expected Gretchen to come up with a full studio album and everyone is pleasantly surprised because one of the things that people close to her knows, is that she’s a good singer. Now, she’s sharing that talent to the world.

"Ang sarap nang pagtanggap ng tao, very warm! I just feel so loved and great. It’s great to be back," according to Gretchen. Since time immemorial, the public has been awed and intrigued by her roller-coaster life. Now to sum up her life, her album.

"I feel that I need to share with everybody kung ano ang naramdaman ko this past year. Ang buhay ko, ang puso ko, nasa CD na ‘to. Wala na kayong pwedeng itanong kay Gretchen Barretto after you listen to this CD. You unlock my heart when you listen to this."

"Unexpected" contains 12 tracks of unforgettable songs, as dished out by Gretchen in her signature vocals, with the carrier single, "Please Don’t Ask Me." Other songs include "Fly Me to the Moon," "A House is Not a Home," "Moon River," "An Affair to Remember," "More Than You’ll Ever Know," "More," "I Will" "An Unexpected Song," "All The Things You Are," "Love Me For What I Am," and the only Tagalog cut, "Ikaw Lamang."

With the so many descriptions that Gretchen gave in summing up the album, most think this is probably what best describes her now:

"A child at heart. I am a dreamer. I believe in fairy tales still and I believe in happy endings."

"Unexpected" is distributed by Star Records.
