'In her latest interview, Jen said their relationship is definitely over and she will raise their baby by herself especially now that she feels okay and can get back to work.'

No reconciliation for Patrick and Jen, Greta and Nadia

IT'S sad that the romance between Jennylyn Mercado and Patrick Garcia turned into a nightmare. In her latest interview, Jen said their relationship is definitely over and she will raise their baby by herself especially now that she feels okay and can get back to work. Jen felt so hurt when Patrick was interviewed in "The Buzz" where he insinuated that her baby might not be his.

"He knows sa aming dalawa ito," she wails. "Bakit hindi niya sinabing sigurado siyang he's the father?"

She now wants to gain sympathy and looking for work. But how can she expect that when she didn't even show up at the presscon of her movie with Jackie Woo?

As for Patrick, his mom wants Jen to sign some papers for the insurance and educational plan that they are getting for the baby, so the public won't say that Patrick is totally abandoning her. Jen refused to sign it. "What I need now is Patrick's presence, not these plans," she said, making Patrick's mom leave in a huff.

When Jen marked her 21st birthday with a concert at Zirkoh on February 2, Patrick was still beside her. Now, they now longer talk to each other. Someone tells us it's Jen herself who drove him away, forcing Patrick to dump her because of her "kapraningan" due to bipolar disorder (the same ailment of Meryl Soriano that contributed to the fast dissolution of her marriage to Bernard Palanca). Her erratic behavior is the reason why he had second thoughts about marrying her and he now refuses to read even her text messages.

We concede that Jen needs a lot of understanding and sympathy at this point, but she should also seek professional help so she can be a better mother to her baby. After all, her behavior can be treated nowadays with the proper medication.

Attempts to patch things up between former friends Gretchen Barretto and Nadia Montenegro failed. Their mutual friends arranged a meeting for them last Wednesday at Hotel Rembrandt but their talks only ended in bitter recriminations, with Nadia throwing a water bottle at Greta who was able to duck. Nadia was pissed off when Greta insinuated that some of Nadia's kids have other fathers than her longtime partner, Boy Asistio.

Tanya Montenegro, Nadia's sister, was there, so Claudine Barretto, who had just arrived from Hong Kong also rushed there to give moral support to her sister. But what made onlookers wonder was the presence of Dodie Puno, Greta's rumored new lover, when she just declared on national TV her undying love for Tony Boy Cojuangco.

Greta confronted Nadia for spreading the rumor that Tony Boy told her to leave their house because of her affair with Dodie. Nadia denied this, saying she was even trying to defend her. Their talk ended with Greta, who also revealed that Nadia used to borrow money from her, becoming hysterical and nothing was resolved at all. The title of Greta's album is "Unexpected" and it's obvious that this is the best word to describe what happened to her and Nadia's friendship.

A stunning newcomer better known as a host and VJ is Katherine "Kat" Alano. Born on July 9, 1985 in Birmingham, England, her dad is Pinoy and her mom is British. "I was a year old when my parents worked in Hong Kong and that's where we stayed for 15 years," she says.

Then her parents split and she moved with her mom and younger brother back to England, where she finished high school in Norfolk at 18. She then decided to visit her grandma in Batangas City and while she was there, she joined the search for Bb. Lungsod ng Batangas and won in the pageant. She then auditioned at ABS-CBN and was hired as a VJ for Studio 23. From there, she was made a co-host in "Wowowee," did three movies ("Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo," "First Day High," and "Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo"), one teleserye ("Ysabella"), several TV commercials, and is now hosting "VIP Pass," Thursdays at 9 p.m. on Cinema One and is also an MTV VJ.

What about a story that she was taken out of "Wowowee" because of a fight with Willie Revillame? "No, I left because I wanted to grow," Kat said. "Willie and I are now in good terms. Hosting is really my passion and I'm happy now with my VJ work in MTV and my hosting 'VIP Pass' where I get to go to awards nights, movie premieres, and other big events to interview celebrities."

Who are the most interesting celebs she has interviewed? "Aga Muhlach is very pleasant to talk to, the same with John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo, but I had the most fun with Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo. They're great as a couple."

Star Magic's Rikka Dylim formally introduced their fabulously sexy girl band called Koolchx to the press, composed of six pretty and talented girls who performed a couple of fascinating song and dance numbers: Cassandra Ponti, Nina Dolina, Geraldine Fitzgerald, Michelle Murenec, Malaya Levandowski, and Princess Ryan. They have their individual careers but when they started performing together in "ASAP," they were formally organized into a group initially called Hot Chx. So how come they're now called Koolchx?

"Para raw mas bagets ang dating, mas cool," says Nina, the former "Wazzup" Tadjock who was linked to Archie Alemania and made Mickey Ferriols jealous.

How's are she and Mickey now? "We all guested in '1 Vs. 100' as part of the mob at kami ang nagkatabi," says Nina. "At first, I was nervous but she was the one who greeted me first. She said she had been wanting to talk to me. Sabi ko, 2008 na we should forget the past na and she agreed, kaya okay na kami ngayon."

Nina has done several TV commercials and now does a lot of hosting for corporate shows. She has appeared as Sam Milby's girlfriend in "Your Song" and as a teacher in "Lastikman." She does a mean split while singing.

Cass, one of the "PBB 1" winners linked to Uma Khouny, is turning 26 on March 1 and is the group's Ate since she's the most experienced even when it comes to acting, being the only one who has done several movies. "I'm glad I was nominated as Metro filmfest best supporting actress for my last movie, 'Banal,'" she says.

Her joining "PBB" has jump-started her career and she has since had their family's house in Tagum, Davao, renovated. "That's where my mom and my only brother and his family live," she adds.

Her specialty is to sing Tagalog songs and her faves are Aegis numbers like "Luha" and "Halik." So how is Uma? "We just saw each other a few days ago. Friends pa rin kami," says Cass.

Gemma is a "Pinoy Dream Academy" ("PDA") finalist who later joined the Star Magic family. Half-Filipina and half-Aussie, she sings very well and sang a solo of "Reflection" from "Mulan" during their presentation. She is going steady with AJ Dee. She turned 22 on January 1.

Malaya is a Fil-Am from California with a Filipina mom and Polish-American dad. She sings and dances well and was tapped as MYX VJ for North America where she did two segments, "OMG" and "Bang." In the US, she won in the Ms. Teen Filipina, Ms. California Teen, and Ms. Fiesta Filipina pageants. Turning 19 on April 13, she's going steady with Rafael Rossell. How does she feel about Rafael's going sexy in "Rome and Juliet"? Her reply: "That's okay with me. I'm proud because he won the Urian best supporting actor award for that film."

Michelle is also half-Aussie-half Pinay. Born in Canberra and raised in Brisbane, she was also discovered when she joined "PDA." "I've been singing and dancing since I was 7," she says. "My dad died and my mom enrolled me in a folk dance class to amuse me and that's how I started."

She was a finalist in the last "U Can Dance" contest and also performed in several ABS-CBN specials like the Kapamilya Christmas special. She recorded the song "Pasko na sa Pinas" for the Star Magic Christmas album.

Princess Ryan is the youngest member at 18. Her dancing prowess was discovered when she was tapped to promote Shakira's hit dance song. She was a regular in "Bora" and later competed in Ms. Bikini Philippines. She has also guested in "Maalaala Mo Kaya," "Love Spell," and will soon be doing an all-girl gag show with Kristine Hermosa.

The six Koolchx girls are now the cover girls of Maxim Magazine for March. Aside from their collective pictorial, they also have individual photos showcasing their gorgeous bods.
