One-stop shop for decorators
opens Makati showroom

Interior designers and homeowners have a new source of elegant and world-class furniture and accessories with the opening of the new showroom of Indigo in Makati City’s emerging lifestyle strip in Gamboa St. in Legazpi Village.

Situated in SM Megamall since 2004, the showroom moved to Makati to cater to the construction boom in the city’s condominium sector.

"We offer a one-stop interior shop for decorators, interior designers, and renovators with our broad range of furniture such as sofas, chairs and divans, a good number of them modified to suit smaller living rooms," says interior designer Kristine Neri, Indigo managing partner.

Indigo’s prized collection includes bedroom and living room showcases, chairs, cushioned sofas, open shelves, slat bench, divans, and an assortment of tables.

It also carries a wide range of decorative accessories such as vases, clocks, lamps, throw pillows, and fragrances for either home, offices, restaurants or hotels. "If you look at the interiors and the furniture, the design is seamless and not boxy or restricted. It’s Filipino-made, but has a global appeal," Neri said.

While tapping local craftsmen, Indigo creations exude a world-class look which is sought by people in the know when it comes to interior design. A Balt daybed, for instance, fits well in a condo unit, while dining chairs and side tables are inspired by a retro look.

Neri added that one of their bestsellers is the versatile faux leather storage box which can be used as an ottoman, a side table or a storage box. They can also be opened up and formed into a fine-looking, functional coffee table, while their sleek lamps and throw pillows can add color and character to a room.

The potential for mix and matching among pieces are endless with flexible designs that are both functional and sophisticated. Prices are also reasonable for something that is at par with international standards.

Materials like leather are not only used for upholstery, but also to cover Ire dining chair legs or the popular Viol modular boxes that could be used as tables, ottomans or storage systems.

"Our philosophy is to always come up with classic and timeless pieces with the comfort of its users as primary consideration," she says.

In addition to furniture and accessories, the design firm also offers a full range of interior design services.

Indigo’s most recent project is the interior design for Gaster Deli at 6750 Building in Makati which was designed by Neri’s partner, Jennie de Dios. Gaster incorporated the restaurant and deli concepts, the first of its kind in the country, and used Greek, Spanish, French, Italian and English motifs to capture the ambiance of an authentic European deli.

The sleek look of Ice Monster and Piandre Salon outlets are also products of De Dios and Neri’s design savvy.

For clients’ total satisfaction, Indigo can also help conceptualize their business — from coming up with a store image to creating a brand logo.

Indigo is at the First Midland Building, 109 Gamboa St., Legazpi Village, Makati City, with outlets at the Home Department of Rustan’s Shangri-La Tower and Rustan’s Makati.
