Topshot photo tilt accept sentries

Last year, Sony Ericsson’s first Topshot photo contest drew over 1,500 entries from all over the country, the highest number of entries among other participating countries in the region. Four of these entries were even selected as country winners for the 2007 World View Competition, one of which was eventually declared a world finalist.

With this previous success in mind, the mobile maker recently launched the "I@ sharing my discoveries" photo contest to enable camera phone users to show off their skills as well as their unique and extraordinary discoveries in and around the country.

"The Filipino’s penchant for taking pictures was clearly shown through the Topshot competition, so it was just natural for us to launch a new photo contest. This time, we wanted to zero in on our country and the things that define it and make it so special," says Sony Ericsson marketing manager Patrick Larraga.

"We want to encourage photography enthusiasts to come up with images of their "discoveries" of the Philippines. These discoveries present new ways of seeing, fresh insights, or novel perspectives of the many faces and facets of our country," he added.

With the mobility, imaging technology, and connectivity options of Sony Ericsson’s range of Cyber-shot phones – the K850i, K810i, K800i, K770i, and the K550i, which integrate the very best of a camera’s features to produce eye-catching photos, shooting and sharing photos can be done in a flash.

Travel and explore the Philippines and discover what the archipelago’s 7,107 islands have to offer. With the latest 5-megapixel K850i Cyber-shot phone, photos of life in these islands are guaranteed to come out with the best picture quality.

Share your photos of the country’s best views and get a chance to be featured in the news. The top shot wins a Sony Ericsson K850i Cyber-shot phone, and two SEAIR adventure passes plus P10,000 pocket money. Two runners-ups will receive two SEAIR adventure passes each. The SEAIR adventure pass entitles the bearer to an unlimited number of domestic flights to any of the airline’s regular routes within 45 days.

Join Sony Ericsson’s I @ sharing my discoveries photo contest now. Upload your new discoveries onto the Topshot website: sonyericsson.com/topshot. Deadline for submission of entries is on March 23.
