Inspired by the National Palace Museum of
Taiwan, architect and designer Stefano Giovannonvi has created a
one of a kind kitchenware collection, to promote greater
awareness of Chinese history and culture to the west.
The Taiwanese Museum is said to house the
Orient’s richest collection of Asian artifacts. Its holdings
originate from the imperial collections of the Ch’ing dynasty,
and the earlier Sung, Yuan and Ming dynasties, and constitute
the central core of Chinese culture and art.
Giovannonvi was approached by the gallery to
create a mascot for the museum distinctive of the 21st
Century. As a result of the collaboration the Chin family under
the A di Alessi line was born. Each item is unique in character
and representative of a household member. In addition, all items
are separately molded, assembled and carefully hand painted.
A perfect gift for all seasons, the collectionis available at
Rustan’s Makati or the Alessi flagship store at Building B-5
