Jolo's thoughtfulness

Jolo's mom is Lani Mercado. He is the second in a brood of six.

"Sa tatlong anak kong lalaki," said Lani, "si Jolo ang pinaka-malambing. Mahilig din siyang mag-regalo, kahit mga insignificant na bagay, which to me counts a lot, as it signifies na mahal niya ako at palaging naaalaala."

Lovi, too, considers Jolo's thoughtfulness as one of his many traits which she admires so much. He gave her a gift on Christmas and Valentine's Day. Lovi, though, refused to divulge what they are.

"Basta magaganda at parang mamahalin," was all she said.

Jolo and Lovi are not the lead stars of the teleserye, "Babangon Ako at Dudu-rugin Kita." But their role as a love team is equally important and challenging.

"Heto ang first teleserye naming magkasama," stated Jolo. "Sana mag-click kami as a team, para magkaroon pa kami ng assignments together."

Who will be the next young star to become a first-time mom?

Well, one is Camille Prats, who is now mom to a baby boy named Nathan. If others still do not know, Camille got married to the baby's father, Anthony Linsangan, before giving birth to her son.

"It was a simple wedding," said Camille of the event. "There were about 40 guests lang."

Since Camille gave birth in the US, her parents Dondi and Alma, and brother John, had to fly to the US.

Come to think of it, John is older than Camille. So we're asking now when John will become a parent, too?

And will he choose to have young star Shaina Magdayao to be his future wife and mother of his kids?

John and Shaina are said to be currently singing beautiful music together.

Another first-time mom is Eda Nolan, who gave birth on February 5 to Andrei. Father of the baby is "Star Struck" runner-up Gian Carlos.

Eda is a Star Magic talent. She was the busiest among her contemporaries before she discovered she was pregnant.

Related Eda: "Irregular kasi ang menstruation ko. Kaya kahit two months na akong 'di dinadatnan, I thought ganoon lang 'yon.

"But when on my fourth month I still didn't have my menstruation, kinabahan na ako. Lalo't when I noticed that my boobs were getting bigger. I frequently felt dizzy, too."

Her realization only came later. "In Gian's presence, I decided to have a pregnancy test. We bought a pregnancy kit from a drug store," Eda said. "We both felt anxious and excited when we found out magiging parents na kami."

Although their parents like them for each other, Eda said marriage is not in their immediate plans yet. But they will, in time, walk down the aisle. Meantime, their baby is their priority.

It's goodbye between Jennylyn Mercado and Patrick Garcia, as Jennylyn seems really determined to severe ties with Patrick.

Said a kibitzer: "Lubhang nasaktan si Jennylyn sa pronouncement ni Patrick na kikilalanin niya ang bata na kanyang anak, hanggat walang amang nagke-claim dito. Obvious na naniwala si Patrick sa mga balitang posibleng hindi siya ang ama ng ipapanganak ni Jennylyn."

Current news has it that Patrick has left for the US to pursue his original plan to study.
