It’s summer once again! And along with the endless dreams of palm trees, the ocean breeze, and summer sunshine are the inevitable nightmares of extremely hot and humid weather that can damage our skin during this vacation season.
What’s more alarming is that the sun’s UV-rays can wreak havoc to our skin and kick the sebaceous glands into overdrive, making it extra oily and blemish-prone. So, how do we take care of our skin from the summer heat?
In time for summer, Garnier recently launched Garnier Pure Active, its newest line of skin care that actively targets the six signs of skin problems—pimples, whiteheads, oiliness, enlarged pores, impurities and unevenness—which many of us battle double time during the hot weather.
Guests enjoyed the skin-centric activities during the launch of the new Garnier Pure Active line, wherein some of the participants wrote their own personal “Take Care Promises” on the Google Map check-in inspired wall, while others crafted their “Take Care” shirts in the Pure Active T-Shirt station. They had their pictures taken at a not-your-ordinary photo booth to create the Skitbooks Flipbooks. The series of still pictures are printed on separate sheets of paper, then stacked together. And when flicked through rapidly, they give the impression of moving images.
Composed of two products, the Multi-action Scrub and Pimple Roll-on, Garnier Pure Active integrates just the right amount of Salycilic Acid that wards off bacteria, and Natural HerbaRepairTM, derived from blueberries, that helps repair skin to prevent scarring. It is clinically tested on acne prone skin, and works immediately on imperfections delivering visible results from day one.
