“Inside Protégé,” hosted by Jennylyn Mercado, has started airing this week.
The 15-minute updates airs on GMA at 10:15-10:30 p.m., Mondays to Thursdays after “One True Love” and every Friday after “Lie To Me.”
“Inside Protégé” gives viewers behind the scenes footage of the journey and struggles in the life of each aspirant as they begin their quest for stardom. It also features the highlights and drama of the nationwide auditions where the five celebrity mentors witnessed the overwhelming number of contenders who auditioned in almost 15 cities all over the country.
“Protégé’s” five esteemed celebrity mentors are acclaimed actor and TV director Ricky Davao (North Luzon), seasoned actress and TV director Gina Alajar (South Luzon), drama and action film legend Phillip Salvador(Mindanao), multimedia icon Jolina Magdangal (Visayas), and much-awarded actor Roderick Paulate (NCR).
The artista search’s high-profile judges are well-respected talent manager/director Bert de Leon, multi-awarded drama actress Cherie Gil, entertainment guru Joey de Leon, and GMA Network Films president Atty. Annette Gozon-Abrogar.
Only 20 protégés will make the cut and move on to become the mentor’s four (2 boys and 2 girls) potential protégés who will be revealed to the viewers for the very first time on August 5, during the show’s first gala night, hosted by Gala Presenter Dingdong Dantes and Journey Host Carla Abellana.

GMA News TV’s “Life and Style with Ricky Reyes” gives us a glimpse of the rich and how they reached their stature this Saturday at 10 a.m.

Cynthia Villar (with the host-producer in the photo), whom he describes as a “wonder woman.” “She is well respected by her constituents who are beneficiaries of free education for out of school youth and livelihood training for unemployed women; yet she is a dutiful senator’s wife and doting mother to her children,” avers Ricky.

‘My Chubby World: Big Adventure’
enters the virtual world this Saturday
This Saturday (July 28), kiddie kapuso contestants Reine Christine Joy Ramos and Dolly Joy Anne Ortiguera of NCBA Fairview will be virtually transported inside a video game in “My Chubby World: Big Adventure.” This episode will surely bring in another 30-minute educational, reality-adventure game show filled with fun and learning experiences.
Reine and Dolly will go through various physical, mental and experiential challenges as they steer all the way through big props and sets to complete three challenges and collect three hidden Chubby. JC Tiuseco and Mikael Daez will join the big video game adventure as special guest celebrities.
“My Chubby World: Big Adventure” is brought by GMA Network and Rebisco Foods, Inc and it airs every Saturday, 8:30 a.m. on GMA. It is hosted by Renz Valerio, Gianna Cutler, Daniella Amable and Zyrael Jestre and directed by veteran children’s TV director Noel Añonuevo.
