Vista Land, the holding company for Sen. Manny Villar’s real estate businesses, has been named among the best-managed companies in the Philippines, according to the results of FinanceAsia magazine’s 12th annual poll of Asia’s top companies.
The Hong Kong-based publication tallied votes from 265 investors and analysts across the Asian region, and recently revealed the results of its survey for Indonesia and the Philippines.
“We are extremely pleased and honored to see that Vista Land has been voted by key players in the Asian region as one of the best-managed companies in the Philippines in a poll conducted by such a prestigious publication as Finance Asia,” Vista Land President and CEO Manuel Paolo Villar said.
Vista Land, which was listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange in 2007, ranked fourth in the “Best Mid-Cap” category and seventh in the “Best Investor Relations” category.
“We will continue to work hard to improve our standing both at home and in the international financial community,” Villar added. “I know many other companies will continue to improve as they would consider it an honor and privilege to be included in FinanceAsia’s list of Best managed companies.”
FinanceAsia’s survey also named Vista Land’s Chief Financial Officer Ricardo B. Tan as “Best CFO” in the country, followed by Renato Migrino of Philex Mining and Jeffrey Lim of SM Prime who ranked third.
Vista Land is the biggest homebuilder in the Philipines, based on the results of a recent study by Collier’s International.
The company, whose five operating units cover all segments of the housing market, also boasts of the widest geographical reach in the real estate industry.
