Excitement heightens
on HBO’s provocative series

A NEW and exciting line up of provocative and much-talked about series is coming to HBO and HBO Signature this 2008, including the latest seasons of "Entourage," "Big Love," and "Curb Your Enthusiasm," as well as brand new series such as "The Tudors," "The Wire," and "Flight of the Conchords."

"The Sopranos": All seasons of the "HBO Original Series," "The Sopranos" will air starting February 4 at 11 p.m. James Gandolfini, Edie Falco, Lorraine Bracco, Michael Imperioli, Dominic Chianese, Robert Iler, and Jamie-Lynn Sigler complete the cast.

Mob boss Anthony "Tony" Soprano is having a midlife crisis. He’s a loving husband and father, a devoted son to his widowed mother, and the head of a "waste management consultant" business in New Jersey. However, the multiple responsibilities of his family and mob family are taking their toll. After suffering a series of anxiety attacks, Tony turns to psychiatrist, Dr. Jennifer Melfi. But for a mob boss, therapy can have serious consequences.

"Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 5": This "HBO Original Series" will premiere on HBO Signature in March. The cast includes Larry David, Cheryl Hines, and Jeff Garlin.

Money. Security. Famous friends. Forgiving wife. Devoted agent. Larry David has it all – except perhaps his identity. This season, Larry takes a sentimental journey in search of his roots, stepping on a few toes along the way.

"The Wire": This brand new "HBO Original Series" will premiere on "HBO Signature" in April. The series star Dominic West, Sonja Sohn, Wood Harris, Lance Reddick, Idris Elba, and Larry Gilliard, Jr.

"The Wire" tells the story of a single drugs-and-murder police investigation from the point of view of both the police and their targets. As episodes unfold, a probe by Baltimore homicide and narcotics detectives results in a complex sprawl of wiretaps and surveillances, revealing a universe in which the national war on drugs has become a permanent, self-sustaining bureaucracy, and distinctions between good and evil are routinely obliterated.

"Entourage – Season 4": Another "HBO Original Series," which will premiere on HBO and HBO Signature in May, cast the Hollywood boys Adrian Grenier, Jeremy Piven, Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara, Debi Mazar, Perrey Reeves, and Rex Lee.

It’s not easy being famous. In this caustic comedy, Vince Chase is a sexy young movie star whose career is just taking off. To share the fun of the ride and keep him grounded, Vince looks to Eric, Drama and Turtle, his longtime pals from Queens, New York. Together they share the highs and lows in the fast lane of Hollywood, where the stakes are higher, and the money and temptations greater, than ever before.

"The Tudors": HBO Signature will premiere it in September with Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Jeremy Northam, Natalie Dormer, and Henry Czerny in the cast.

Passion, ambition, and treachery collide in this compelling drama about the early years of King Henry VIII’s infamous 40-year reign.

"Big Love – Season 2": This series, an "HBO Original," will premiere in November. It includes Bill Paxton, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Chloe Sevigny, and Ginnifer Goodwin.

Bill Henrickson works hard and plays by the rules. All he wants in return is a happy, secure, normal life for his family. Is that too much to ask? Maybe so. For a polygamist like Bill, the American Dream comes with strings attached. This new season of HBO’s offbeat drama series continues the story of Bill Henrickson, a practicing polygamist who lives in suburban Salt Lake City with his three wives and seven children.
