Sometimes all it takes to ease one’s mind is
a good relaxing music. Julia Duncan’s music will bring you just
that. Listen to "The Love Lounge," her debut album under Sony
BMG Music Entertainment which defines a new term in music –
Latin chill.
The sultry songstress who started her career
as a model, creates a new vibe influenced by the elements of
Sade’s music which is soul, jazz, quiet storm, easy listening,
and the sensuality of bossa nova and samba with the hip-shaking
Latin tinge music associated with Shakira.
"It is a marriage between sexy Latin and the
sensual soothing sound of chill out rhythm," Julia said.
"The Love Lounge" features 13 tracks, 12 of
which are covers of well-loved songs including the Swing Out
Sister original "Breakout." Julia’s song-writing skills are
showcased further with her contribution, "Love Is…"
Other tracks include "One Hello" (a Randy
Crawford original), Claire Marlow’s "Till They Take My Heart
Away," "Happy Ever After" (originally by Julia Fordham),
Everything But The Girl’s "Cross My Heart," "Sunlight" by Kevyn
Lettau, "Here’s to Love," Des’ree’s "Life," "Sailing" (a
Christopher Cross original), Anita Baker’s "Sweet Love" and "The
Love Dance."
Overall, she describes the album as soothing,
happy, sweet, sexy and inspiring.
"It is a kind of music that will provide an
ambience of calmness yet provocative. A music that relaxes you,
entices you to dance," Julia said.

‘Pangako’
Last year, the country’s "King of R&B" Luke
Mejares released his much anticipated sophomore album "Pangako"
under Sony BMG Music Entertainment. The album spawned the hit
singles "You Had Me at Hello" and "Pangako Yan" which entered
the charts of radio stations all over the country.
Now, Luke is slated to continue to make waves in 2008 with
the release of his latest single "Pangako." This track,
originally by Side A, is given an R&B twist by this solo crooner
and he considers the song quite special. Luke will soon make
rounds of TV and radio guestings as well as mall shows to
promote the single.
