WITNESS the remarkable transformation of a heavenly body. From being showbiz’s "object of desire," Angel Locsin shows the whole world that she’s more than just a star with a pretty face; she’s an actress.

But Angel has come a long way since her controversial transfer to the Kapamilya network. After she "crossed the fence," ABS CBN saw a promising actress that’s waiting to be honed to reach her greatest potential. After her dramatic turn in "Maalala Mo Kaya," she is now all set to star in ABS CBN’s biggest teleserye to date – "Lobo," a project that promises to bring out the dramatic actress in Angel.

"Sobrang excited po ako dito sa project na ito, dahil first teleserye ko po ito sa ABS CBN," says Angel. "At maganda ang story, this is my biggest role to date. Pine-present pa lang po sa’kin ito, nagandahan na’ko. Lalo na ngayong ginagawa na namin ang teleserye."

"Lobo" is a tale of ill-fated lovers who will go against the odds to be together, defying and challenging whatever force that conspires to tear them apart. Angel will play the role of Lyka, a warmhearted but mysterious girl whose secret identity will come between her love for an enigmatic soldier, played by ABS CBN’s most sought-after bachelor, Piolo Pascual.

It has been Angel’s dream to be paired with Piolo, and Piolo is flattered to no end. "Angel is very sincere, and it reflects in the way she works. Magaan siya ka-trabaho, may ibubuga siya, she can really act! I’m really happy with our team up," comments Piolo.

Her directors, FM Reyes and Cathy Molina are also pleasantly surprised with Angel’s acting. "I think we really have found a gem in her, a diamond in the rough, kumbaga. Napakagaling nya dito sa "Lobo," says director FM. "Makikita mo kay Angel ‘yong desire to learn and develop her talent. She follows instructions very well, malaki ang contribution niya sa character niya. Pang-best actress siya," adds director Cathy.

Different from her mystical and heroine roles in the past, Angel’s character is far from simple and predictable in "Lobo." One moment she may be bubbly and sweet, next she will be lonely and serious. "Angel’s role as Lyka needs a different attack from those she played in the past. Kaya lalabas talaga ang versatility niya rito sa show na ito," remarked direk Cathy.

"Very challenging po talaga ang role ko rito sa ‘Lobo,’" Angel admits. "It’s my first time to portray such a unique character, where I can really showcase my ability in drama. That’s why I’m very excited. And thankful sa ABS-CBN at sa Star Cinema for this wonderful opportunity. Ngayon ko masasabing, isa na akong ganap na aktres," she finished.
