After weeks of intense screening, 24 young
women have made it to the list of official candidates for the
search for the 2008 Miss Real Estate Philippines.
The Top 24 are Theresa Baltazar, Glaiza Bilas,
Amit Bhopal, Glenda Cabailo, Ferina de Paz, Shamaine del
Rosario, Angelee delos Reyes, Ritchel delos Reyes, Marisol
Dianco, Paula Figueras, Mean Flores, Jeff Gaitan, Cherry Kubota,
Mary Ann Laggui, Andrea Laurel, Christine Mayor, Elizabeth Naluz,
Sandra Palma, Jennifer Recto, Katrina Rigets, Alex Roces,
Bernadette Solero, Jerusa Torres and Camille Rodriguez. All of
these women balance beauty with strength of character, which
makes them serious contenders for the title.
As official candidates, the girls will be
representing the Philippines’ top real estate builders and
developers. In the process, they will be immersed in all areas
of the real estate industry and will be educated on why this
industry is a vital part in the country’s economy.
After that crash course on the state of real
estate, there will be a pre-pageant night on July 24, followed
by the finals and coronation night on July 25.
Both events–which are co-presented by
Lancaster Suites and supported by 7107 Islands Cruise, Po-werSpeak,
Juan Carlo The Caterer, Josiah’s Catering, Ink and Prints,
Mellow Touch 94.7 and MAX 103.5 FM–will be part of the three-day
celebration of Philippine Real Estate Festival to be held at the
SMX Mall of Asia.
Whoever emerges victorious from both events
stand to receive valuable prizes, which include cash and a house
and lot for the lucky title holder. She will also be given the
chance to give back by spearheading the outreach projects of the
Chamber of Real Estate and Builders Associations (CREBA) Social
Housing Foundation. Aside from that, Miss Real Estate
Philippines 2008 will also represent the Philippines in the
first-ever Miss Real Estate Asia pageant, which will be held
later this year.
This is actually the second year of the
contest, which was won last year by Filipino-Australian
candidate Rose Cel Aguilar.
Miss Real Estate Philippines (MREP) is organized and
presented by Philippine Real Estate Festival (PREF) Events
Management, Inc headed by its chairman, Rosemarie Basa, who is
also the founder of Miss Real Estate Phillipines. Pageant
director is Rebecca Padilla.
