T the presscon of
ABS-CBN's newest TV series, "Iisa Pa Lamang," Diether Ocampo revealed that he
had found his one great love. He chose not to mention the girl's name, and
quickly added that unfortunately, things didn't turn out the way he had wanted.
Diether, however, is not discounting the possibility that he
would fall in love again. But when asked how soon, he refused to say.
At the preview of "Iisa Pa Lamang" at the Cinema 2 of SM
City's The Block, someone whispered that he had reserved three special seats at
the premiere section of the theater. Three girls, one of them beautiful enough
to be in showbiz herself, occupied the seats. Could she be the next great love
of Diether?

"I love my role in 'Iisa Pa Lamang'," said Diether. "It asked
that I give my best. And I feel challenged."
He plays Miguel, the love of Catherine, played by Claudine
Barretto. He feels the same way for her.
"Catherine and I are childhood friends. May isa pa kaming
kaibigan na close din kami, si Raphael (played by Gabby Concepcion).
Hindi ko alam na mahal din pala niya si Catherine," related Diether.
He is the son of Isadora (Cherry Pie Picache), who is the
most powerful woman in hacienda Amadesto. She has a way of always getting
what she wants.
When Miguel returns from his studies abroad and sees
Catherine all grown up and beautiful, he falls in love with her all the more.
Luckily for Miguel, Catherine herself still loves him. He
soon discovers, however, that his mom had mortgaged the hacienda and they
might soon lose it.
Miguel is, thus, forced to marry his former girlfriend,
Scarlet (Angelica Panganiban), heiress to a fortune.
Also in the series are Susan Roces, Laurice Guillen, Joel
Torre, Matt Evans and Melissa Ricks. Three young talents are featured: Kitkat,
Martin del Ro-sario and Beauty, former "boarder" in Kuya's house of the
recently-concluded "Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition 2."

We asked Roderick Paulate what it is like working with kids.
He is with Celine Lim, 8; Sophia Barrs; Jairus Aquino, and Bronson, 11, in the
sitcom, "That's My Doc." In the cast, he and Precious Lara Quigaman (who plays
Greta, the love of Doc Aga, essayed by Aga Muhlach) are the only ones who are
not parents yet. The rest of the cast, Aga, Bayani Agbayani, Pokwang and Nova
Villa, all have children.
Roderick, a graduate of Humanities from the University of the
Philippines, replied: "I don't think one has to be a parent in real life for him
to be able to love and understand kids. Or communicate with them.
"In my case, I have many pamangkin. Yes, all ages and
sizes. I just love them and even take to them as my own.
"Kung minsan, ha, nagseselos sa akin ang kanilang mga
magulang. Feel kasi nila, their kids love me more than they love
them.
"But, of course, that isn't true. Suspetsa lang nila 'yun.
Aaminin ko na, as their uncle, I sometimes have the tendency to spoil
them. I would sometimes buy them things which their parents refuse to give them.
"Sasabihin ng mga kapatid ko, o hayan, ini-spoil mo
ang mga 'yan.
"Actually, I don't. Bago ko naman bilhin ang isang bagay
para sa kanila, iniisip ko muna kung talagang kailangan nila ito o hindi.
"I just love working with my young co-stars in 'That's My
Doc.' All of them call me Tito Dick.
"Iba naman ang pakikipag-bonding ko sa kanila.
Even if before the cameras, parang masungit ako sa kanila, they know that
I love and care for them."
Although this Saturday's episode of "That's My Doc" (ABS-CBN,
6 to 6:45 p.m.) is a special replay of two episodes combined, still, according
to Roderick, the kids' inclusion in it is amusing.
Guest stars are Angel Locsin, who plays Doc Aga's former
fiancée, and Derek Ramsey, the boyfriend of Greta who left her behind but wants
her back.
As this is the first time that Aga and Angel, plus Derek, are seen together
in the small screen, it's no doubt a must-see episode.
