PAL, MasterCard, Allied
launch 1st World MasterCard

MasterCard Worldwide, Allied Bank and Philippine Airlines will introduce the Mabuhay Miles World MasterCard, the 1st World MasterCard in the Philippines.

The Mabuhay Miles World MasterCard represents the foremost premium credit card within the MasterCard portfolio in the Philippines.

The card will provide global acceptance, preferential access and treatment, recognition, exclusivity and exceptional service.

The discretionary spending of the affluent and rich households across Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand is estimated to reach a staggering $55 billion by 2015.

In the Philippines alone, that is targeted to reach $7.6 billion - more than double their discretionary expenditure of $3.5 billion in 2005.

According to Allied Bank EVP and Retail Banking Group Head Peter N. Yap, Allied Bank's collaboration with MasterCard and Philippine Airlines reinforces the bank's commitment to provide excellence and reliability to its customers. "The Mabuhay Miles World MasterCard is our way of showing our sincerest gratitude to our customers for their loyalty and support," he said.

The Mabuhay Miles World MasterCard offers benefits that are "more than miles ahead" of the rest. It offers the lowest point-to-mile conversion (P38 to a mile) within the Philippine Airlines, bringing cardholders closer to getting complimentary flights aboard the airline than any other card.

Cardholders are entitled to a high credit limit and separate peso & dollar billings for local and international transactions with an option to pay their dollar billings in peso.

Also making every trip more convenient is cardholders' exclusive access to the Allied World Assist concierge service and round-the-clock emergency medical and travel assistance via International SOS, the world's leading provider of medical assistance, international healthcare, security services and outsourced customer care.
