would like to have another baby after Joshua and Baby James, she cannot have one
anymore. Her obstetrician told her she will be putting herself at great risk.
If you recall, Kris was pregnant when her mom, former
President Cory Aquino, was diagnosed with cancer. A week after, Kris suffered a
miscarriage because of a blighted ovum. She would have been in the fourth month
of her pregnancy had it prospered.
How's her mom?
"She's much better," Kris said. "Although she is still
undergoing chemotherapy at least three times a week."
We had the chance to engage Kris in a tete-a-tete
during the opening of the new outlet of Philip Stein, the watch which has the

At the Philip Stein event, Kris, who came with husband James
Yap, donated P1,000,000 to the Philippine National Red Cross, through former
actress Rosa Rosal (Red Cross governor). The donation was intended for the
purchase of an important machine badly needed by the agency.

Kris and James are leaving for the US on August 2.
They will be away for two weeks.
Their first stopover, according to Kris, will be New York,
where they will spend most of their time watching Broadway plays.
They also plan to explore places which Kris may have already
been to but are still unfamiliar to James, who will be in the Big Apple for the
first time.
They will then proceed to Las Vegas.
Will James try his luck at the casinos?
"I told him not to," said Kris. "Baka kako ma-addict
siya."
James' mom will look after Joshua and Baby James while the
couple are in the States.

Before leaving for abroad, Kris will tape some episodes of
"Deal or No Deal," which will begin airing this July. Her first guest will be
Gabby Concepcion.
"'Deal of No Deal' is the reason we cannot extend our stay in
the US even if we want to. Kukulangin ang natapos kong episodes na
ipalalabas," explained Kris.
We failed to ask Kris when her current game show, "Wheel of
Fortune," will have its last airing.

Two singer-actresses, Aiza Seguerra and Rachel Alejandro,
became instant millionaires, thanks to ABS-CBN's "The Singing Bee," which is
hosted by Cesar Montano.
Aiza was on her sixth song in the final countdown when she
hit the P1 million prize money.
She won another million as defending champion.
All in all, she brought home P2.08 million in cash.
Like Rachel, Aiza could have won more had she not voluntarily
decided to forfeit her chance to be the defending champ.
In the case of Rachel, she decided to quit after winning a
total of P1.2 million because she had to leave for Dubai for a singing
engagement.
"I just feel so blessed," said Rachel. "I appreciate winning. But actually
it's not just the money which is making a personal impact on me, kasi
with all the things going wrong in my life, parang matinding dahilan itong
pagkapanalo ko para sabihing I'm not malas naman pala."
