ARROYO critics yesterday started their
"heckling" over a range of issues from Charter change, human
rights violations, and the size of the Arroyo entourage in
advance of the July 30 meeting (July 31 in Manila) between
President Arroyo and US President Barack Obama.
The political opposition urged Obama to
"sternly" remind Arroyo that the US government will not tolerate
human rights violations and efforts by administration allies to
amend the 1987 Constitution.
Prominent opposition personalities including
former Vice President Teofisto Guingona and former Senate
President Jovito Salonga appealed to Obama to take notice of the
many issues against Arroyo.
