THERE is no other Local Government Unit in the Philippines which is very consistent in its bid as a tourist haven than Dapitan City! Fresh from its celebration of the Tourism Month with a unique set of activities all in one night which made a record in the Philippines as another First and only in Dapitan, plus all the active sports events thereafter in October, the administration of Mayor Rosalina G. Jalosjos is again supporting the events of the City Tourism Office on the occasion of the 454th Founding Anniversary of Dapitan by Datu Pagbuaya, who is believed to have a sculpted body being a valiant warrior in his time. His arrival in Dapitan in 1563 enabled Dapitan to be part of the World Map in the last part of 1500s. Hence the need to have a celebration with a big bang.
