THE Philippines will host the 6th World
Congress in Cosmetic and Dermatologic Surgery on March 2-4 with
the Philippine Society for Cosmetic Surgery and the Philippine
Academy of Dermatologic Surgery Foundation Inc. in cooperation
with Asia Pacific Academy of Cosmetic Surgery spearheading the
event.
The three-day conference with the theme,
Cosmetic and Dermatologic Surgeries Innovations and
Controversies, boasts of local and internationally-renowned
surgeons who will provide insightful dialogue, information
exchange, strategies, and management techniques focusing on
current innovations and controversies in cosmetic and
dermatologic surgery as well as the latest trends in facial
reconstruction.
The lectures will be delivered starting
today, March 2, until tomorrow at the Hotel Intercontinental in
Makati, while live-patient demonstrations will be conducted on
March 4 at the World City Medical Center in Quezon City. Both
lectures and live-patient demonstrations feature over 40
minimally invasive procedures for workshops. Some of the
procedures covered are hair transplant; chin, forehead, penile,
buttocks, breasts and malar implantations; body sculpturing;
rhinoplasty and alar base trimming; sexual reassignment;
dermabrasion and skin resurfacing; and abdominoplasty.
At the helm of this event are Dr. Corazon
Collantes-Jose, president of PSCS and Japan’s Dr. Tetsu shu,
president as APCS. Chairs of the event’s organizing committee
are Dr. Mariano Agcaoili of PSCS and Dr. Agnes Thaebtharm,
president of PADSFI.
