‘I’m willing to give up an arm, literally (he chuckled), for even just one movie this year. – Billy Crawford’

Billy misses acting

SAM Milby appears not the least concerned with the report linking his former girlfriend, Anne Curtis, to a French guy. He has chosen to remain mum about it.

Right now, what interests him more is his new movie with Bea Alonzo, which has Lauren Dyogi at the helm, and his new album, "Love Duets," with Toni Gonzaga.

It was Toni’s idea that they do an album together after doing three movies blockbuster films centered on romance. They also did several TV shows together, all successful.

"So, sabi ni Toni, album naman ngayon ang gawin natin," related Sam. "I think our fans will appreciate it."

The tracks included "Sometimes When We Touch/After All" medley, "Time of My Life," "Against All Odds," "Cruisin’," "Suddenly," "Back Into Love," "In Love With You," "If Ever You’re In My Arms" and "You Are the One."

"Love Duets" is produced by Star Records.

ABS-CBN, three years after the ULTRA incident, continues with its promise to help the families of the victims via the 71 Dreams Foundation, headed by Fr. Tito Caluag.

Recently, Fr. Tito met with the victims’ families batch by batch, where they all reviewed the foundation’s programs and services which included education, employment, counseling, health and training on whatever interests its members.

Likewise, the foundation has regular activities, such as home visits, recollection, summer workshops, family day, Christmas party and the incident’s anniversary.

Fr. Caluag encouraged the victims’ families to share with each other their experiences and further expectations from the foundation.

When the foundation was organized three years ago, its objectives, said Fr. Caluag, was to teach its members to be self-sufficient, create a community that is not just compassionate but caring and a kind of partnership which will help them lead better lives.

Of course, Fr. Caluag agreed that other members may have other objectives or goals. The foundation, he added, will help them in any way it can.

Billy Crawford is in love with fellow "ASAP" mainstay Nikki Gil, who in turn doesn’t hide her affection for the guy.

Nikki is obviously the reason Billy remains in the country. A couple of months back, he was supposed to leave as he wants to build a recording career in the US, like what he did in Europe.

He is enjoying life here, as it is in the Philippines where he actually grew up. He has found new friends, too, foremost of which are Luis Manzano, Vhong Navarro and John Lloyd Cruz, his fellow members in the singing and dance group Kanto Boys.

"We love it when we are together," said Billy. "Kaya we look forward to Sundays, which is the day the Kanto Boys is featured in ‘ASAP’."

But in the Sundays after March 11 till April 29, Billy’s fellow Kanto Boys members and, most especially, Nikki, will surely miss him.

Together with Sarah Geronimo, Mark Bautista and London-based young singer Charlie Greene, Billy will do a 14-city tour in the US.

Then, a few weeks after he returns, he will again leave with Sarah for several shows in Europe.

Middle of this year, there are plans to have Billy do a back-to-back concert with Sarah at the Araneta Coliseum.

Billy is one of the current endorsers of the popular time piece, Swatch.

We asked Billy, who was a former child actor, if he misses acting.

"I do," he exclaimed. "And I’m willing to give up an arm, literally (he chuckled), for even just one movie this year."
