Reality shows fulfill
dreams, change lives

"PINOY Big Brother (PBB) Teen Edition" and "Pinoy Dream Academy (PDA)" proved to be two of the biggest reality shows in the country and after its first season runs, it also proved that it did more than just fulfilled dreams– it changed lives.

"PDA really changed my life, I’ve learned a lot as an artist and I grew as a person. After PDA fulfilled my dream, I was also able to fulfill the dreams of my family and people dearest to me. It’s really more than just a dream come true for me," affirmed PDA Grand Star Dreamer Yeng Constantino.

Yeng is only among the many hopefuls whose lives were changed after their stay in PDA. Her success in PDA paved the way towards achieving even more success in the industry– a triple platinum debut album, sold-out solo concert, successful world tours, numerous awards and a newly-released sophomore album to be exact.

Aside from Yeng, her fellow scholars Jay-R Siaboc and Ronnie Liang also had their share of the limelight.

PDA 1st runner up Jay-R is now making his mark as an actor after being part of the cast of hit primetime series "Pangarap na Bituin" and "Patayin sa Sindak si Barbara." He is currently playing Enzo in ABS-CBN Primetime Bida’s "Palos."

Ronnie Liang, on the other hand, had a successful solo album with smash hits like "Ngiti" and was recently awarded by PMPC as Star Awards’ Best New Male TV Personality.

Meanwhile, Kim Chiu definitely made it big after winning "PBB: Teen Edition."

"I didn’t expect to be this successful at such an early age. It’s really great that PBB helped me discover myself more as it enabled me to become a better and more confident individual which omes in handy now that I am in the showbiz industry," Kim explained.

To date, Kim already starred in her own primetime soap, "Sana Maulit Muli," opposite fellow teen housemate Gerald Anderson, in comedy sitcom "Aalog-Alog," fantasy-romance series "Love Spell Presents: Cindy-Rella" and in the musical variety show "ASAP." She is also set to star in the upcoming "Maligno." Along with Gerald, she also topbills two films with Star Cinema and has numerous endorsements–ast food, shampoo, shoes, clothing line, skin care, etc.

Other PBB teens like Matt Evans ("Pedro Penduko" series, "Princess Sarah"), Mikee Lee ("Y-Speak," "Abt Ur Luv"), Aldred Gatchalian, Niña Jose," and Jamilla Obispo was also given the chance to prove themselves in the glittery world of showbiz.

With all these bankable talents as products of PBB and PDA, it just shows that the two are indeed the best and leading reality talent search programs in the country. After the long wait, PBB finally returns on March 23 with the formal launch of "PBB Teen Edition Plus," hosted by Toni Gonzaga, Bianca Gonzalez, Mariel Rodriguez and Luis Manzano. A primer will also air on March 16. PDA is set to air some time in May.
