George Clooney, one of Hollywood’s most eligible bachelors, has dismissed rumors that he was secretly engaged to his girlfriend of about a year, Sarah Larson. The pair has become a regular fixture at red carpet at industry events, and speculation on the seriousness of their relationship escalated when Clooney, 46, took Larson to the Oscars – the first time he had taken a girlfriend along. But the actor denied reports out of Europe that wedding bells were imminent.

"These reports are not true," Clooney’s Los Angeles-based representative told Reuters.
