Kim Chiu, still smarting from her first heartbreak, is hesitant about falling in love again, even with perennial partner Gerald Anderson.

Girls talk about love

KIM Chiu sets the record straight that she and Gerald Anderson are sweethearts. They’re not, not yet. In due time, they might become more than friends. Right now though, Kim says she has few male friends and she considers Gerald as one of her closest.

She is a bit careful about falling in love again. She was hurt before. It is common knowledge that before joining "Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition," she had a boyfriend. But they broke up before she became a housemate in Bahay ni Kuya.

She was 14 at that time. Ten months after they became sweethearts, they split-up.

"Nasaktan ako sa break-up namin," she relates. "But I’d rather not divulge the real reason why we parted ways. Sa akin na lang ‘yun."

What would she remember most about the guy?

"He was my first kiss. Pero hindi ako nagsisisi kung nangyari man iyon dahil mahal ko siya that time."

She no longer sees the guy, she reveals. If they do meet, she would treat him as a friend. But she is not considering reconciling with him, should he want to win her back.

The hosts of "US Girls," the Studio 23 lifestyle show that is celebrating its first anniversary on Sunday, March 25, have something in common: all three of them are in love. We are of course, referring to Iya Villania, Cheska Garcia and Angel Aquino.

Iya’s romance with Drew Arellano is still going strong. They have been together for almost three years.

Although Drew is with QTV 11 and Iya is a contract star of ABS-CBN, their respective careers have not affected their relationship.

"Mahal ko si Drew at walang dahilan para magbago ‘yan," said Iya.

Cheska, 26, said she and her boyfriend, cager Dougs Kramer, 23, might get married next year. They have been sweethearts for three years. They have met each other’s folks and both their families approve of their relationship.

Will they have a grand wedding?

"It depends on the budget," Cheska answered. "But, definitely, it will be a Christian wedding. Dougs and I belong to the same community: the Victory Fellowship Community. We attend services at The Fort."

Angel said she and her band member boyfriend have broken up. She is now in love with "Magandang Umaga, Pilipinas" host Lui Villaruz. So far, their relationship is okay. Even her children by her estranged husband like Lui.

"Kaya walang problema," she smiled.

Iya, Cheska and Angel describe the first year of "US Girls" as fabulous – with fun, fashionable and anything girls like them are fond off. They have done fashion, food, lifestyle, fitness beauty secrets, celebrity fashion and a lot more.

In their second year, the girls are touring the Philippines and will feature places in the country which has so much to offer, like Cebu, Davao and Pangasinan.

"I’m excited to get the most of Bohol," Cheska said. "I’ve heard so much about its beautiful tourist spots, like the Chocolate Hills, Tarsier tour and the Loboc River.

"Hoy, huwag kalimutang pupuntahan din natin sa Bohol their waterfalls, like the Kuwasan Falls and The Bee Farm," Iya cut in.

As an added bonus, "US Girls" will also be going out of the country, in Bangkok, Thailand.

"US Girls" is aired every Sunday, 8:30 in the evening.
