'He'll always have a special place in my heart, but I think it's better kung friends na lang muna kami uli. - Bianca Gonzales'

No reconciliation yet

JOHN Prats is so proud of his nephew, Nathan, son of his sister Camille. "Kahit baby pa, lalaking- lalaki ang hitsura," he says. "Moreno ang kulay, nagmana sa father niya (Anthony Linsangan), hindi sa family namin kasi mapuputi kami, e. Iba rin ang feeling when I saw him first after they came home from the States and I realized na uncle na ako."

So does he intend to wed soon and have his own baby? "I'm not ready yet and also, marami pa akong planong gawin sa buhay ko."

What's the score now between him and Shaina Magdayao? "We're exclusively dating. But I don't know yet kung kailan niya ibibigay ang kanyang matamis na oo. Okay lang naman sa akin ang maghintay kasi bata pa rin si Shaina. She's only 18. There's no reason for us to rush things."

Is he aware that it was he who broke up the Shaina-Rayver Cruz love team? "Actually, puede naman ngayong tangkilikin ng audience ang isang love team kahit hindi sila talaga ang on in real life. And for the record, wala kaming samaan ng loob ni Rayver at all."

John reprises his screaming gay role in "Manay Po 2: Overload" where Polo Ravales and Jiro Manio are his equally gay brothers, with Cherry Pie Picache as their mom who has accepted graciously that all her sons are gay.

The stars of "Babangon Ako't Dudurugin Kita" were the special guests of "Showbiz Central" last Sunday. Among them were LJ Reyes (who denied her new boyfriend comes from the family of SM's Henry Sy), Jenny Miller (who said her boyfriend didn't mind her hot love scenes with Marvin Agustin in the show), Paolo Contis (who's playing another villain role as the rapist of Diana Zubiri), married couple Tonton Gutierrez and Glydel Mercado (who play enemies in the show), and Ian de Leon (who says he and Diana are close friends after they first worked in "Zaido" but they're not really on).

Marvin Agustin and Angelika de la Cruz were featured in the "Don't Lie to Me: Laglagan" edition. Angelika took the lie detector test with Marvin as her partner who gets punished for every "Lie" answer. Angelika "lied" in two instances. First was when she was asked if she got tense while doing her love scenes with Marvin. She said no and the Truth Verifier said she was lying, so Marvin was penalized with coffee powder raining all over him.

The next time was when Angelika was asked if it's true that Marvin got carried away during his love scene with Yasmien. She said no, but it turned out to be a lie so coffee creamer was poured on Marvin who proved to be such a good sport.

Lead stars of "Babangon" Yasmien and JC De Vera took the Hot Seat. Yasmien was asked the difference in her relationship with former partner Rainier Castillo and with current JC. "Rainier is more of just a barkada," she says. "We don't date, unlike kay JC na iba kasi nagde-date kami at nagbibigayan ng gifts. Si Rainier, kahit minsan, hindi kami nagbigayan ng gifts."

JC says, in turn, that "Yas and I are more than friends."

Host Pia Guanio asked where their relationship is now, in a scale of 1 to 10. JC says it's in 9.1.

Later, Yasmien refused to reveal the "Killer Question" meant for her and chose to seal it. JC was more game and decided to reveal his "Killer Question": Among your past girlfriends (Pauleen Luna, Aifa of SexBomb, and Michelle Madrigal), sino sa lahat ang pinaka-minahal mo?

"Ang hirap nung pinaka," he says. "Iba-iba kasi ang sitwasyon nila."

But Pia and Raymond Gutierrez were insistent so he revealed that it's Michelle.

"Sa kanya lang ako umiyak at na-depress nang husto," he adds. "Pero may kulang sa list, si Yas. Sa lahat, siya ang thoughtful. May mga ugali siya na 'di ko nakita dun sa tatlo. Napapa-smile din niya ako."

Dina Bonnevie was supposed to be the finale of the show, to be interviewed by Pia, the current girl of her ex-hubby, Vic Sotto. But Dina was a no-show. No, she didn't chicken out. She was coming from Bangkok and her trip was delayed. She sent word that she will definitely show up next Sunday to be interviewed by Pia.

Bianca Gonzales turned 25 on March 11 and even if director Lino Cayetano is still abroad, he didn't forget, and sent her a lot of her favorite Japanese food.

"I was really touched by his gesture," Bianca said during the opening of PBB Teen Edition Plus.

So does that mean they've really reconciled? "No, we're not together yet like some people think. Let's just say we're getting to know each other again. I can't even say na nanliligaw na siya ulit sa'kin. I don't wanna jump to conclusions."

But does she feel love can be sweeter for them the second time around?

"I don't know. We will see. He'll always have a special place in my heart, but I think it's better kung friends na lang muna kami uli. I really want to take my time, there's no need to rush lalo ngayong busy ako with 'PBB Teens Plus.'

Fourteen exciting teen housemates were introduced last Sunday night in "PBB Teens Plus." We'll write about them in the order that they were presented to the public:

E-jay, 18: He came up on stage clad like Tarzan, showing off his hunky body. He's 18 and hails from Mindoro. He's mestizo but his dad looks like a sun-drenched farmer and much shorter than him. His mom has abandoned them. Before he came to Manila, he didn't even know how to ride in an elevator and how to use a cellphone. He prefers to live in the province.

Kevin, 18: He's billed as the "Spanish stallion" from Madrid. He grew up in Spain, has an Irish mom and a Pinoy dad and is an expert horseback rider so he competes in equestrian sports. It's his first time in the Philippines and doesn't speak Tagalog. He was also introduced on stage shirtless, like E-jay.

Nicole, 17: A Fil-Chinese mestiza, her dad is a Chinese businessman disowned by his parents for marrying her mom, a Pinay flight attendant. She just finished high school and lives a sheltered life so she now wants to spread her wings.

Linda, 16: Called the Bikini Babe from Iriga, she has joined bikini contests to augment their family's income. She comes from a broken home as her Swedish dad left them so she now helps her mom send her siblings to school. She's tall and statuesque and, for us, has the most arresting looks among the girls. A definite beauty queen potential.

Nan, 17: He's the token comedian in the group (they usually have one like him in each batch like Ruben who's also Visayan like him and won in PBB Celebrity Edition). He's called the Junior Kengkoy ng Davao and was presented on stage dressed like a pirate from the Caribbean.

Alex, 18: He's dubbed the Italian Valentino from Milan. His Italian dad is jobless while his mom is a domestic helper. A soccer player, he was born flat-footed so he had to be operated on. He doesn't speak Ta-galog but has a Pinay girlfriend, Me-lanie.

Rona Marie, 16: She's billed as the Prisoner's Daughter from Dumaguete as her dad was jailed four years ago and her family visits him regularly. The youngest of four sisters, she's an achiever in school and in beauty contests, making her a combination of beauty and brains.

Jieriel, 16: She's tagged the Bubbly Girl from Davao. She used to be chubby and had to lose weight before the PBB started. Her dad left them but she now has a very caring stepdad.

Jolas, 18: He's a basketball player and the tallest guy at 6'3." Called the Gentle Giant from Bulacan, he's a certified ladies man and can make a girl go steady with him after only a week of courtship. He once had a conflict with his dad and now wants to regain his father's trust.

Beauty, 16: She's called the Rebellious Beauty of Dumaguete because she can be a bratinella. She comes from a well-to-do family and is used to being a señorita. She kept on screaming while on stage.

Valerie, 18: She stands 5'9" and is called the Dazzling Doll from Germany. She was born and raised in Germany but came to Manila with her Pinay mom after her German dad died four years ago. His death crushed her as she was a papa's girl. She now wants to find an older brother who's been missing for 11 years. She speaks Tagalog but with a pronounced accent.

Priscilla, 16: She's known as the Deaf Dreamer from Davao as she's hearing-impaired. She was two years old when she underwent surgery and totally lost her hearing when she was 11. Her dad was murdered when she was 6. Despite these setbacks, she's a fighter and was named Miss Teen Davao last year, ending up as 1st runner up in the Miss Teen Philippines Pageant. She can read lips but when Kuya is talking to them without her seeing him, this can be quite a problem for her.

The two additional housemates are teen boys from rival schools: Robi from Ateneo and Josef from La Salle. Robi, 18, has parents who are both doctors. He has wholesome good looks and is a very obedient son who has yet to have a girlfriend. In contrast, Josef, 16, is a chick magnet. He's the more "pasaway" between them and has naughty-boy, matinee-idol good looks that remind you of Jericho Rosales.

There will be four winners in the pageants, all of them getting a kitchen showcase and laptops. The 4th placer will get P200,000 cash, the 3rd will get P300,000, the 2nd will get P500,000 and the big winner will get P1 million cash, all from Nature's Harvest. The big winner will also get a P1.5 million business package from Crystal Clear and a condo unit from Globe Asiatique.

We're glad the introduction was fast paced this time and without the boring gimmicks of PBB Season 2 where the housemates were even handcuffed. Kuya's house also has a new design that young people will find very appealing. Host Luis Manzano revealed that there are other rooms for men and women housemates in the house and these are obviously meant for "Pinoy Dream Academy" scholars who will also be introduced later.
