18 lovely girls begin
journey to womanhood

THE search for the ultimate "It Girl" starts this April as eighteen lovely young ladies try to outshine each other and eventually prove who among them is worthy of becoming the ultimate "It Girl" of the year!

Hosted by the hunky and "Crush ng Bayan" Marc Nelson, "The Debutante" is Q-11’s newest reality show that is sure to challenge all notions of what an "It Girl" should be. The show believes that life isn’t just about a party, but it’s all about living your best, especially when no one is looking.

In the spirit of traditional debuts where girls who are coming of age are formally introduced to society, 18 lovely girls will begin their journey to becoming a woman of substance and style. The show will put them through exciting challenges, tests, and discoveries that will turn them into the total woman. At the end of the season, only one will be proclaimed the ultimate "It Girl," only one will be "The Debutante."

Aspiring to be the ultimate debutante are Schinina Juban (The Sassy Cheerleader); Danielle Lee (The Dynamic Heiress); Sophia Abdullah Ahmed (The Coffee Princess); Samantha Gamboa (The Lively Ballerina); Bianca Bauer (The German Pinay); Joy Velasco (The Teenage Beauty Queen); Bea Candaza (The Cheerful Baby); Mishi Casal (The Petite Performer); and Kate Bautista (The Fierce Mannequin).

Joining them are KC Hollman (The Charming Sister); Bebs Hollman (The Dutiful Guardian); Istara Bon Gundry (The Vegan Activist); Miki Hahn (The Sultry Singer); Michelle Paloma (The Independent Model); Aby Adao (Miss Beauty and Brains); Chrizenda Cecilio (The Cover Girl); Denisse Oca (The Chick Flick Fanatic); and Rachel Tan (The Feisty Artist).

Used to a life of being envied, desired, and, at times, even worshipped, these girls will be in unfamiliar territories as they try to outlast each other in a series of tests that will measure not only their sense of style and fashion but other intangibles as well– social skills, leadership, confidence, will power, compassion, and more.

On its pilot episode on April 7, the viewers will get to know the girls as they walk their way down the red carpet in a "New Year Fashion Week"-inspired setting at the Alchemy Club. And together with their equally dashing and gorgeous partners, the girls will showcase their terpsichorean skills and grace on the dance floor.

The girls will also be treated to a fine dining experience under the watchful eyes of the judges who will judge the girls based on their table manners and on their articulacy in carrying on a conversation.

As much as it is a night of fun and partying, the competition will surely dawn upon among the contestants as soon as they meet the distinguished panel of judges whom they must all impress.

The judges are philanthropist and social doyenne Fortune Ledesma; beauty queen and image enhancement expert Abby Arenas De Leon; entrepreneurship advocate and an "It Girl" herself, Vivienne Tan; and Manila’s Five Loveliest and physician, Dr. Maritess Gozon-Viterbo.

"The Debutante" airs Mondays, starting April 7 at 7pm, only on Q-11.
